   AROMA 7/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 7/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 12/20
Alengrin (2066) - BELGIUM - OCT 12, 2014
Tasted from bottle as Slaapmutske Winterbier and from tap as Slaapmutske Bruin (thanks to Dany, the brewer, himself); a dubbel with crackling, stable, moussy, light beige head and misty bronze colour with amber hue. Fruity and purely malty aroma, apple sauce, banana, strawberry, caramel, coriander, chocolate, cloves, a whiff of coffee, herbal hops, some red cabbage. Agreeably malty taste, fruity and vaguely sweetish, peppery spiciness in the middle, light toasted bitterness and herbal hoppiness in the finish, but rather short. Pretty high carbo for the style. Decent.

Abijen (1497) - ’s-Hertogenbosch, NETHERLANDS - SEP 21, 2014
Pours a dark orange slightly unclear beer with a good white head. Smells overripe fruits, malts and caramel. Tastes licorice, malts and caramel. Average carbo, thin body and a sticky texture.

Het beste bier van slaapmutske dat ik al geproefd heb. Een lekker volle, uitgesproken smaak

Scopey (7054) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 29, 2014
Bottle at Moorings. It pours amber with a thick white head. The nose is earthy, brown bread, spice, light sweetness, horlicks and muffin. The taste is bitter, toasty, brown bread, spice, light caramel, fruit cake, citrus peel, banana bread and earth with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Well rounded and easy going.

330ml bottle. Hazy copper color. Medium size, off-white head, stays. Sour, prunes, caramel, sweet, raisin custard in aroma. Strawberries, dried plums, cut grass in taste. Very gassy. Dry woody aftertaste. Very light body.

Smells almost like something sweet gone sour. Overkarbonated tasteless beer. Atleast doesnt leave a bad aftertaste.

   AROMA 6/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 6/10   PALATE 4/5   OVERALL 13/20
bartlebier (1799) - Belchum im Breisgau, GERMANY - APR 30, 2014
UPDATED: MAY 5, 2014 75cl bottle, won at ZBF 2013 tombola, consumed after ZBF 2014. DK export label. Pours a very hazy, yeasty amber with beigish head. Aroma is very yeasty, pregnantly so, up to boiled vegetables, and specifically: Royco Minute tomato soup. Yeast bitters complement hop grassiness in the taste. Astringently dry yeasty palate. Strange, unique, not my favourite beer/tomato soup crossover though.
