3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: JUN 10, 2005 (Bottle 33 cl) Dark brown and hazy with a creamy head, which isn’t particularly tall and it fades evenly. Brewed with three different malts and coriander and fermented in the bottle. Full body but not sticky. Lovely aromatic and quite dry from the hops. Actually quite well done. 180104

Sold as Slaapmutske bruin. The ABV is the same. Malty, dusty, peppery aroma. Malty caramelly flavor with hints of coreander and pear. Slightly peppery. Some bitterness in the aftertaste. Well made beer.

I really had a good time with this beer, i took it out, wined and dined it. Nice and dark, fruity, a bit deep at times. Bottom line, i would buy it again.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Thick, dense, cream-coloured head, slightly irregular; very hazy brown beer, lots of floating funky stuff. Caramel, toffee and a bit lactic nose. Later more leafy, laurel/bay-leaf like. Very aromatic dark mlats, bit of chocolate/toffeeish taste. Alcohol builds up taste too. The more bitterish roasted components from the grainy malts keep the upper hand, despite a lot of sweet restsugars in the background. Another leg of the taste is the carbonation, that signs for a light sourish flavour, and a fizzy mouthfeel. Again leafy, clear tasting flavours. Clear, fresh tasting beer, just a bit fizzy. Would do great with some dark chocolate dessert, IMO.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled, whilst in Brugge.
Light brown with a full beige head. Soft mellow scotch whisky malt flavours. Speckled snowflake sediment makes for interesting light effects towards the end of the beer.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottled: Amber coloured. Unclear. Has a beige thin lasting head. Fruits, sweetness, malt, spices and yeast in the aroma. Sweetness (honey), malt and light spices in the flavour. Not much else as sweetness in the end, but its quite pleasant.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Foam streaming out of the bottle upon its opening, but it quickly dissipates, leaving a brown-red body with lots of floaties. Aroma is medium sweet, strong raisin, some spiciness, light alcohol, hint of banana. Taste is spicy raisin, yeasty, light sweetness. Finish is raisin with a touch of tartness.
