I really had a good time with this beer, i took it out, wined and dined it. Nice and dark, fruity, a bit deep at times. Bottom line, i would buy it again.

33cL bottle. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this beer. Pours an average "bruin" head, mahogany color, lots of sediment. Aroma is medium strength, belies some spiciness. Taste is closer to a quadrupel, complex for a bruin...delicious. I really, really enjoyed this beer!

Dobrze skomponowane piwo

330 ml bottle from Mort Subite, Altrincham. Dark red/brown colour with beige head. Rich dried fruit aroma, plum, raisin, apricot with hints of cinnamon alongside. Chocolate malt taste with the fruit coming through along with the yeast. Full palate. Excellent brew.

I know the taste adn smell and can’t pin it down...nuts, toffee, caramel, apricots, figs, raisins, swwet and soothing. Lots of sediment make this a cloudy orange copper color with sticky thick foam. This is truly delicious. Note: my bottle is not labeled as "Winterbier" , just "Bruin"

Botella de 330ml. Copa Cáliz de Westmalle. Saboreada en agt´11. Color ámbar oscuro. Espuma marfil y corona túpida y densa. 330ml bottle. Westmalle Chalice glass. Enjoyed on agt´11. Dark amber in color. Off-white froth, close & dense crown. Nice foamy nice lacing rings. Toasted malt moderate aroma, hints of ripe banana & subtle sugar to the nose. Tasting include caramel malt, sweet malts, ripe fruits – banana, plum-, slightly peppery with hues of coriander. Full body, low carbonation. Gentle warming in mouth lingers to the aftertaste combined with a dry spicy finish. Very nice drinkability. Excellent balanced beer both in flavors & aromas. Very good pairing with white chocolate or milky bars.

Hazy brown body, light brown head. Aroma has roastiness, chocolate and some coffe in really nice balance. Very hoppy flavour with dark fruits, yeast and some roasted malts. Round and smooth and semisweet. Propably the best bruin ever.

(Bottle. 03/2006) This was a pleasant surprise. I was not expecting something quite as good. Aromas of dried fruits and some acidity with some grassiness and hints of open, high-desert meadows (sage? laurel?). Dark malty aromas as well. Thick, cream-colored head that lasts for a minute. Hazy, deep brown. Roasty, astringent flavors with chocolate, toffee and espresso. Bottom of the glass, with lots of chunks, presents yeasty (imagine) and rich, nutty flavors. Not as fruity as the aroma would suggest, but some acidity. Big mouthfeel, supported by a warming alcohol presence and a very spritzy carbonation. Some back-end grassy, bitterness.
