330 ml. bottle sampled @ 20ste Zomerbierfestival. Pale golden, small uneven white bubbles. Nose is odd, chemical, hugely artificial, odd wheat & light apple,… Taste is apple, unpleasant chemical-like notes, artificial wheat,… Thin & fizzy,… Unpleasant,… Significantly less pleasant than the 2 fruit version for me. Not sure what is going on here but I didn’t care for it at all.

33 cl. bottle @ home. Split with Kogymo. Procured from Willems. BBF 02/07/2016. Hazy very pale citrus golden, fluffy vanishing white head. Smell is pretty weak, light tart wheat, touch coriander, faint fizzy lemon. Taste is heavy on coriander, fizzy lemonade like wheat, touch wheat sourness, cereal and heavily dominated by coriander, light sugary, bitter metals and lemonade feel. Touch watery, not very exiting but I am not the biggest fan of the style. Okay.

Bottle bought at Marlou Drinks in Zonhoven. Pours hazy light yellow with a creamy big white head. I’m not a big fan of "witbier". Watery taste with a hint of sweetness, grainy taste in the back of my throat.

Lichtgele kleur en een flinke schuimkraag. Lichttroebel. Ruikt gistig, pilsig, beetje zoet. Smaakt waterig en ik haal er niet veel uit qua smaak.

Alengrin (3360) - BELGIUM - OCT 12, 2014
Witbier since 2013, tasted at Brugs Bierfestival. Made with malted wheat (usually raw wheat is used). Thick, snow white head, hazy yellow blond colour with greenish hue; flowery aroma, soap, banana like a Hefeweizen, caramel, orange. Typical witbier taste, yeasty, flowery, soft, with light wheaty sourishness, very refreshing. Decent but not too exciting example of the style.

330ml bottle (Koht, Tallinn)
Rather pleasant wheaty aroma, grains nice and distinct, clean, a little sweet. No messing about with silly levels of spices or anything, this is more wheat-focussed. Slightly hazy wheat colour, brief loose head. Light palate, crisp carbonation. Plenty of wheat in the taste. Lightly zesty in the clearer glass, a bit duller and sweeter in the cloudier glass - prefer the latter. Finish does have some nice bitter hops, in particular from the clearer glass. However, the finish is also a little bit soda-watery, and the carbonation’s a bit too high.

UPDATED: MAY 26, 2014 Bottle @ home. Hazy pale yellow color, small white head that diminishes quickly. Smell and taste wheat, a little bit citrussy, slightly herbs or spices, slightly a floral hint. Decent body and carbonation.
