Swaroga (1715) - Brussels, BELGIUM - AUG 27, 2014
Butelka 75cl. ODCZUCIA : piwo po otwarciu trzeba "przewietrzyć" by spotulniało.

Benzai (9929) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - MAR 7, 2014
75cl bottle shared with Dutchdrebus and Ansjelaah @ Broken Benzai tasting. Hazy pale orange color, huge soapy instantly diminishing white head. Not a whole lot of aroma. Taste some malts, some sourness from the wood and Jenever, lightly a touch of alcohol. Fizzy carbonation, medium body. Not nearly as good as expected.

75cl bottle. Shared with Mathieu87. APPEARANCE: clouded blond beer, small stable white head. Weird UFO’s in the beer? NOSE: grains, alcohol mostly, somewhat fruity though. TASTE: alcohol, somewhat fruity, alcohol warming feeling pleasantly follows. Overly very decent beer, the maturing on Jenever oak barrels really did well for this beer.

Bottle, bought @ De Hopduvel, Gent. Pours clear golden with a large, frothy, white head. Aroma has apples, esters, citrus, doughy malts, light yeast, some mild oak. Highish carbonation, fine dry and quite creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is elegant, sweet, apples again, doughy, pepper, oak. Very dry oaky finish with a bit of refreshing funk. Soft bitterness. Lovely.

Very good dense & fine, just yellowish tinted head, leaving little lace over slightly veiled copperish orange beer, well-carbonated. Sweetish nose, with something akin to vanilla; alcohol obvious. Fresh herbs, malty. Dry, malty flavour, lightly toasted, getting a bit more sweet warming up in the oral cavity, with a finish that is again drier, featuring a citrus-ike very fine point of acidity. Medium bodied, slick, seems well-carbonated, alcoholwarming quite present. All in all well-balanced, better than many’s the BA. beer - and jenever usually doesn’t add much tastewise.
