Bottle 0.33l. Labeled as Witkap Pater Special. Pours clear amber with a white head. Aroma is slightly sour, plums, bubblegum. Taste is light bitter, light to medium sweet, hint of dried fruit, plums, sour touch. Sweet aftertaste. Strong carbonation. Overall a rather flat beer with not much flavour but good drinkable. Not bad but not what I expected.

Under the name "Witkap Pater Special" Amber hazy with medium beiga head. Nice yeasty aroma. taste a bit too watery and dry, and maybe even too sour, but otherwise with mild bitterness and good hint to the roasted malt.

Bottle ("Special"). Thanks to KL. Light lemon nose, with some very light peach and yeast. Very pale apple juice color. Grain, yeast, thin sweet fruitiness, small bittering. Finish is more or less balanced, and then goes just a bit sweet. Thin body, pleasant mouthfeel. Nice, little one.

Bottle as Special. Nicely hoppy nose, lemon, grass, biscuity malt. Medium amber color with a huge, fine head. Flavor os biscuits, prickly hops, lemon, rather peppery finish. A clean and enjoyable drinker, very nice.

For information, beer has been brewed in the 2014 on European Championships Heralds in Ninove, where it came from a brewery. Strong, thick head. Bitter taste but not sour, malty. Very easy to drink.

Ik vind de beschrijving niet kloppen. Dit is een witkap pater speciaal. BIj openen flesje lag bijna alles door het koolzuur naast me glas, ben gewaarschuwd. Mooie witte schuimkraag. Zeer luchtig bier met tonen van lentebloem. Mooi bier.

Pours slightly hazy golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, wheat, orange and hint of coriander. Taste is light to medium sweet and light bitter. Body is light to medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

33cl bottle, as Witkap-Pater Special (belge), Délices et Caprices 08/2014. Pours a yeast cloudy amber...generous yeast-pillow inflected bouquet of wild blossoms and amber, dry caramalts and some caramelised honey, pure autumn meadow. Taste sees more of those amber spéciale belge traits reappea, such as caramalt aromatics, honey-coated hazelnut, more yeast fruitiness. A Witkap-distinct, well drinkable take on a style all too rare... Please someone enter this as "Special" conform to the label?

Amber with white head. Nose:Malts, grain, some spices, yeast. Taste is grain, malty, sugar, yeast, and something that makes me think about a kind of soda drinkb(7up?).sweet finish, soft body. Has mainly a grainy character, Okey beer. But not that special..
