Hazy, bright yellow colour. Massive soapy head. Fresh citrus aroma. Clean and fresh on the palate. A little hoppy and slightly acidic with a light metallic aftertaste.

Sharp aroma, a little bit of banana. Very yellow, cloudy. Metallic taste. Overall rather odd, not Christmasy. Bah humbug.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from beermerchants.com. Pours a clear gold colour with a white head which slowly disappears. Fruity aromas, wheat, some citrus floral. Had to really bury the nose in this one. Flavours of pineapple, grapefruit, some ginger. Finishes hoppy, sweet and bitter. Light and refresthing.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle from Dranken Geers. Clear pale gold with hint of green, lasting white head. Butter on aroma. A slightly buttery lager, which is ok, but not great, but the butter isn’t great. Mouthfeel is ok and so is the sparky hop sting on the finish. Hmmmm Diacetyl. Hop on finish is ok, so is the mouthfeel and swallow. But diacetyl is not good.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle: Hazy, golden with a big fluffy and quickly collapsing white head; distinctive noble-hoppy nose with a sweet pale-malty background; solid bitter-sweet flavour, soft, silky MF, light to medium bodied; lingering noble hoppy finish, balanced by a good dash of sweet pale malt. A very fine belgian Lager of unexpected quality.........

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
(33cl bottle) Slightly unclear, pale golden colour with a big and dense, slightly cream-coloured foamy head. Slightly dusty malty and minimal acidic and subtle citrus-fruity aroma with a touch of barnyard and sour dough. Mildly sweet-bitter flavour with a whiff of acidity, light to medium bodied, moderately carbonated mouthfeel. Soft pale malt-character with light fruity undertones of citrus, grapefruit; almost dry, slightly bitter and faint woody hoppy finish (17.IV.09).

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Why in God’s name would you make a Christmas beer as a Pilsener ?And if you gotta be unorthodox and not have a dark, strong festive beer, try making the Pils flavoursome.Maybe put a little spices in the Pils .That would be nice on paper. I like good Pilseners. This tastes like a ’pale lager’ that has ok depth.Malty and sweet...dusty ,banana esters .Dry and tangy.Really annoying.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Pale yellowy haze with a fleeting white head. Sharp yeasty aroma with touches of Brett and barnyard, almond nuttiness, Westy Blond, hops both lemony and somewhat celery-accented/sweaty (Styrian Goldings?). Nose promises much but flavour fades into pencilly bitterness, dusty yeast, hint of conifer and flat squash citrus. Just doesn’t sting or dry out like I want it to. Westy Blond shandy with flat low cal lemonade. Unchristmassy and a bit flimsy.
