2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottled (BB 11/2008)
Interesting to have a pilsner which is "kerstbier" (Christmas beer). Golden color, small white head. Very grassy (cut grass), "green" aroma. Starts metallic and carbonated, then grassy hoppy. There is some fruity notes (flat apple juice), citrus and dirt. Short grassy and a bit sweetish aftertaste. Not Christmasy at all, but personal.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
from belgianshop.com - slightly hazy golden colour with a little firm head; weird spicy aroma with yeasty notes; tart and medium-bodied; high carbonation; dry bitterness, short spicy and dry finish - not really convincing

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tasted it on draft as well as from bottle. A nice beer but not a pils taste nor smell. Rather a good light and more complex beer

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
33 cl bottle, ’bbe’ ... Dark blond, greenish hue, clear. The head doesn’t hold for long. Complex aroma - it begins with yeast and fruit (mandarins, bananas). Some malts and a hint of hops come later, followed by barnyard notes only later. The latter is convincingly present in the taste, though; which is for the rest dry, sourish, again giving off some mandarins. Chalky finish. Almost every sip reveals something new. Is this really a pils? It tastes more like a mixture of ale and lambic. Infected then?

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
A Sim rate (Bottle at Smellirium): First, I just must mention that I hate this place...just hate it! And Kerstbier? Um... wha? Looks and tastes like a pils to me. Slightly spicy, though perhaps tainted perception due to the 4-day-old ginger cookie I just ate. No worry, added a bit of character to an otherwise personality-less excuse for a Kerst.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Surprisingly OK. Sweet, but clean and slightly grassy in the finish. A drinkable pils, if not a very exciting one.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Clear, pale golden with a big white head. Faint malty nose with a hint of grassy hops. Sweet and grainy flavours, some grassiness. Fizzy. Uninspired.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aroma of grassy (german?) hops and grapefruits. Clear, golden coloured with a lasting, thin, white head. taste is sweet, somewhat bitter, grassy-hoppy and fruity (grapefruits). Interesting brew. Certainly not bad.
