Gold Medal Winner last year at Peterborough Beer Festival this was an easy choice to bring back. A brew made with 1700 punnets of Staffordshire Raspberries this beer has a hint of raspberries and is thirst quenchingly refreshing.

Bottle. Slightly hazy appearance .Initial flavour is bitterness followed by a slight sourness. Fruitiness is quite prominent with a bitter finish. Not one I would try again but not undrinkable.

Couldn’t taste the raspberries in this. The beer was a brown colour, taste was bitter and malty with some nut flavours

On cask at The Cambridge Blue. Pours a dark golden colour with a fair white head. Aroma of raspberries, caramel, yeast and alcohol. Similar flavours with mild carbonation and an oily mouth-feel. Lingering raspberries and quite dry to finish.

Cask at GBBF 2011. Hazy golden with a lasting white head. Floral and fruity aroma with notable apricot. Sweetish fruity flavour with a dry, hoppy finish

Cask Conditioned Handpump Coach & Horses Wellingborough. A copper coloured beer with a reddy pink tinge and a white bubbly head. A reasonable raspberry fruity aroma with a hint of sourness. Too acidic in the mouth though. The fruits are a little harsh. Doesn’t really work although it does mellow a little. Quite typical of English attempts at raspberry or cherry beers.
