2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle 500ml at home, bought in a small shop in Thessaloniki, Greece. ABV 4.2%, poured into a big Guinness glass.
Deep golden yellow to dark orange colour on the body, big white and thick head, with good retention. Medium lacing on the glass.
Very sweet and malty aroma, it smells like it’s a malty accented non alcoholic one, a bit of feet aroma too, certainly not inviting.
Taste is only slighty better, again very sweet and malty but now there is a very faint bitterness on the finish, not lasting long unfortunately and allowing the maltiness to return on the aftertaste.
Medium thick body, carbonation is okay, on the lower side.
Overall a disappointment after initial promising appearance.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle. Gold with a white head. Grainy aroma with some floral, spicy and metallic notes. Pleasantly soft mouthfeel, but unfortunately a bit watery. _Some_ bready malt though and decent hops apart from a little metal. OK old fashioned Eastern European glugging lager.

2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
500ml bottle, provided by Gaute. White foamy head reduced to a remaining layer. Lacing rings down the glass. Bright dark golden body. Overly malty on the nose. Flavours of grainy malts with dry lemony hints beneath . A bit of sour grassy hops to the ending. Clean and soft in the mouth. Quite possible to finish the bottle (Tromsø, 18.10.2013).

Жигулів& Запоріз& Розливу, Zhygulivske Zaporizkogo Rozlyvu - is made by Slavutych Carlsberg Group UA, Zaporizhzhya. 0,5L bottle, 4,2% abv, 11’, bought in supermarket, Kremenchuk, Poltavska Oblast, Ukraine.
Pours a tall semifragile head, that stands a while.
Body is a warm toned straw yellow bubbly one.
Scents of hops, hay, grass, fresh sweet malts.
Gentle mouthfeel, smooth and a little sticky, and it is not watery.
Aftertaste; bread, rye bread, syrup, chewed swedish cracker, malts, sugar malts, nice.
Overall it feels as a premium lager to me, based on colour and the taste.
I liked it and drank it all. It goes very well with dinners, or just enjoying it after a hard day’s work. Very much taste on only abv 4,2, I must say.
