Quack-Duck (3129), Bodensee/Schwarzwald, Germany Dec 9, 2008 BEER no. 2000, CZECH BEER no. 400.
2l PET bottle. Produced in the Czech Republic for a Russian supermarket chain in Germany. Clear deep golden colour with an amber touch. Soapy-malty nose. Full-bodied, solid malty background with some hoppy bitter flavours and a touch of roasted malt shy hints of caramel. Rather hoppy, especialy towards the end, not only aromatic but quite bitter. A wild beer, but not bad at all. Papsoe (14642), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 19, 2005 Updated: Jun 14, 2005(Bottle 200 cl) Another huge loadfull of beer in this incredibly uncharming 2-liter plastic bottle. Very dark - and much darker than a typical pilsener. Malty and rather full-bodied with a sharp bitter finish. Some caramel-notes in there too. Oddly enough, this reminds me of a British "Bitter". 060105 Ungstrup (14754), Frederiksberg, Denmark Nov 4, 2004 A hazy orange beer with a disappearing white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet spicy with notes of caramel and a lovely bitter and dry finish. Hildigöltur (5109), København, Denmark Nov 3, 2004 Golden coloured. Hoppy and grassy aroma with some notes of plastic. Very hoppy flavour with some plastic notes again. They are not unpleasant. Very dry and bitter finish
for a Czech beer.
