Quack-Duck (3132), Bodensee/Schwarzwald, Germany Dec 9, 2008 2l PET bottle. Produced in the Czech Republic for a Russian supermarket chain in Germany. Clear deep golden colour with an amber touch. Soapy-malty nose. Full-bodied, solid malty background with some hoppy bitter flavours and a touch of roasted (burnt?) malt shy hints of caramel. The hops are not as aromatic as in normal Nova Paka beers, they seem more uncontrolled and rough. A wild beer, but not bad at all. Hoppy-bitter finish.
