This smellless, colourless, flavourless mess is a joke of a brew. It’s clear of all worth and it’s very clear that Sleemans is consistent at putting out waste of money beers. I’ve had my share of low % beers but this must be the worst of all of them.

UPDATED: FEB 11, 2004 You might as well drink tap-water. At least it's free and there are ZERO carbs in water. This beer looks fine (for a light beer), and smells ok, but doesn't taste like much. What little flavor there is somewhat like wet cardboard.

Inconsistent, it deprives of character and scents.

330ml can. Pale straw in colour. Head is sparse. Hard to get an aroma off this - maybe hay and grass. Almost devoid of all flavour - pretty much carbonated water. It’s clear all right, clear from those intrustive beer like flavours of hops and malt.

Being a masochist of sorts I’m always fascinated by the "light" beer craze of North America. I never found a "light" beer in Europe, as people were happy to know that their beer tasted like beer. Except in the case of Kriek, but then it tasted like Kriek, and not water. Speaking of which, why haven’t the big commercial brewers tried to market a Kriek-style brew to the same people who might buy a "light" beer? Nonetheless, in my further education of all things related to beer being "light", whatever that may mean at any given time, this stuff pours with a very pale and clear body but still a small layer of head. Faint aroma of murky hops, which was more than I was expecting. Taste is a smooth nothingness with just a vague hint of malt if you tilt your head correctly at the right time. Dry finish, at least. I’m still looking for that "light" beer that’s worth drinking instead of a fine soda water.

Fizzy yellow color, foamy white head. Skunked aroma with just a touch of grass. The body is surprisingly nonexistent. As the description says, this beer boasts a remarkably clean taste, which, rougly translated, means: little to no taste. Nice work here.

Clear. Extremely pale straw. Head disappeared almost immediately. Very faint aroma of cooked corn. Very light, watery body. Very bland & watery. Almost flavorless.
