Sweet malt and light hops and distinct wheat. A distinct "cream" feel on the palate, more than most, well done. A touch too carbonated. Basic stuff all-around but quite drinkable! mcberko (142), British Columbia, Canada

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 30, 2009 Good stuff to pick up at the liquor store on your way to the summer cabin, very drinkable, kind of a decent flavour, but easily forgettable. A cut above the low-end brews however, and a good choice when you need to polish off a case quickly. guil0000 (102), New Brunswick, Canada

Grain aroma also. Overall not that bad but not that good either rollingwood (8), Maryland, USA does not count | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Sep 27, 2009 Light hop aroma. Light gold color with a decent, white, firm head. Very clean, fresh, yeast profile and a refreshing spritzy carbonation. Light to medium body without the astringent complaint I’ve read of elsewhere, nor was the flavor of corn dominant. This was a thirst-quenching summer beer that we drank well-iced and that accompanied well, grilled food (which we had much of, vacationing by a lake).
The distinctive clear bottle encourages the light-struck skunkiness several reviewers describe (I suspect), though our 12-pack was quite fresh (and you can’t miss it when a beer turns skunky). Sleeman’s should rethink the bottle since they can’t control storage and transport. I’d take this over any of the large American brewery offerings.

| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Sep 14, 2009 Pours crystal clear yellow, no lacing a foamy white head. Smells of barley and malt, not much going on there, and not much for taste either. I’ve never liked this beer, and trying it now to rate it is no different. | 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Sep 14, 2009 Bottle. Pours a honey color, with a thin white head, and sadly poor lacing. Spotty at best. Nose is sour grain, hayloft, tart, but not offensive. Palate is surprisingly full, considering the weak nose and blah appearance. fresh grain and grass, hops, biscuit, overall surprising in taste, but still not a solid beer. Unsurprising from Sleemans. drowland (1395), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
