COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Remarkably smooth for a full-flavoured beer. Our founder’s intention was to combine the refreshing taste of a German lager with the distinctive taste of an English Ale without blending the two.

Isn’y very good. I felt it was overly carbonated rather than creamy. Very large head. Will not buy again.

...wasn’t that great at all, very disappointed, and I will never waste my money on this again. No creaminess here, just highly carbonated, and too light. Don’t waste your money.

UPDATED: JUL 22, 2008 500ml can from the LCBO. The production date is only about a month ago, so this should be somewhat fresh. Pours a nice pale gold with a large, rocky, white head. Aroma: Indistinct malts, grassy hops, very little going on. Taste: Surprisingly decent, actually like a real cream ale! Lots of grassy hops with some creamy sweet malts. I’m actually surprised by the drinkability since this is a Sleeman brew. It has the quintessential creamy mouth-feel of a true cream ale. It only loses a few points for some corniness in the flavour. The best Sleeman product I’ve had so far. Maybe they’re actually trying to make GOOD beer for a change? Probably not. This one gets worse as it warms though, losing points by the second.

Comes in 11.5 oz bottle. It is smooth going down, but there is a lack of flavor which makes it a moot point. It was something new at the international beverage store.

Pretty uneventful stuff here. Pale malts and a bit of dry spice toward the end. Light bodied. Somewhat fizzy. Has that distinctive macro industrial malt flavor going. Meh.

11.5 oz - 340 ml? - neither measure makes sense! Clear deep gold with a small but lasting, creamy head. Aroma is slight caramel apple and bitterish green herb. Flavor is a balanced struggle of lightly sweet apple and slight bittering herbs; would rate higher except for a sourish, industrial malt-adjunct twang that occasionally intercedes. Light medium body is smooth, with a fairly crisp finish. Not a great, but definitely underrated within the style.

Clear pour, decent sized whitish head. Light grassy hops and sweet aroma. Flavor has a bit more grain and a hint of vanilla. Meh.

The bottle is screams classic old school crappy beer. This was better than anticipated. Non offensive flavor, just really nothing notable here. Bland.
