bhensonb (4182), Woodland, California, USA Jun 4, 2007 The grassy hop aroma expected from a light lager. The brassy gold color and frothy white head you’d expect from a lager. A bit thin bodied. Not bad. The level of bitter is indeed what one might expect from an English bitter, and the accompanying malt is not inappropriate. Something of a mule, in the hybrid sense. However, it is surprisingly drinkable. Interesting essay. thomasacross (129), Edina, Minnesota, USA May 25, 2007 Botte. There was nothing creamy about it! Boozy and towards the bitter end of the spectrum. Did I get a bad bottle? What were they thinking? Rictus (126), Camdenton, Missouri, USA May 22, 2007 Malty sweet smell. Light lager look. Something doesn’t taste right here. It has a slight bitterness (that’s okay) and has a sour bite to it I cannot describe. It’s not a pleasant beer. Feels like a light lager. It kinda sucks... I think I want to change my buddweiser rating to make it better because of this. cking (1012), North Canton, Ohio, USA May 20, 2007 Rated 5/27/06: Simple is good with this one. Pours a medium light golden yellow with a thin white head and good carbonation. Aroma is subtle, creamy, and light with a slight malt nose. Mouthfeel is good and filling with a crisp finish. Flavor is very appealing. Easy simple and delicious, nice beer. pintocb (508), Darsville, Georgia, USA May 13, 2007 Yellow. I taste a little corn like flavor. I don’t get much creaminess. Free beer. ChrisThomson (378), Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 6, 2007 Drinkable, but not the best Sleeman beer. Has a nice malt favour with subtle hops. hoppymeal (38), Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA May 6, 2007 Pours yellow to light gold. Sweet corn & rice smells mix with a sour? smell. Taste is starchy sweetness with a little skunkiness. A hint of bitterness and alcohol at the finish. As it warms the starchy sweetness is more pronounced. Very little body to speak of.
drpimento (785), La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA Apr 28, 2007 Not bad. Yellow. light head and a bit of lace after tilting the glass. Well carbonated. Some malt and hops but corn too. Clean. Drinkable. Bittersweet. Bitter finish. from the Between the Bluffs fest.
