COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Remarkably smooth for a full-flavoured beer. Our founder’s intention was to combine the refreshing taste of a German lager with the distinctive taste of an English Ale without blending the two.

355mL can. Pours a deeper, clear yellow with a larger, bright white head. Muted sweet grain nose. Taste is suddy and mildly metallic with a sort of malt liquor adjunct sweetness. Not offensive but sticky sweet and malt liquor feeling. Inferior to Molson Canadian.

I was very disappointed by this beer. It tastes awful. Doesn’t taste anything like other cream ales I have tried. I will never buy it again.rotten eggs,

pours pale golden with an-ok head. nothing creamy at all in this beer, not even the slighest oily mouthfeel. some cereals, corn. same sleeman profile of hops and yeast. never really unpleasant, but boring and not too good.

Can courtesy of Kinz on 11/11/2010. Clear golden body with a large creamy white head. Sweet corn and light honey aroma. Sweet corn flavor with some grainy notes. Medium light body with moderately high carbonation.

Smells sugary, pours pale gold without much head. This beer has a very smooth and unique feeling/palate. I don’t really buy this beer anymore because its too hard to drink a lot of and not the easiest beer to shot gun for some reason.

Clear glass bottle - when did Sleeman switch from the deep, heavy brown bottles? Pours a very clear, light golden color with a low white head. Aroma has a strong noble hops skunkiness, strong pale malt grainy nose, mild corn sweetness and a light fake vanilla presence. Flavor has a mild vanilla bite early with some mild griany notes. Slight noble hops bitterness at the end but very faint overall. Body is light, modest carbonation rate, light crispness. Overall not a horrible and actually a bit better than I was expecting but the clear bottles kill the flavor a little bit.

Sleeman’s Cream Ale poured a medium-light golden colour with a big white creamy head that stayed a while. Lacing is pretty sticky all around. At first pour, smells like a pilsner (slightly skunky because of the clear bottle), but then, sweet malt and notes of hop spread out. Lightly carbonated with tiny bubbles. The taste definitely gives out the sweet malt and not much hop is felt. Smooth creamy mouthfeel, refreshing, but not much other than that.

341ml bottle. Yellow golden colour, little head. Aroma of corn, grass, and clear bottle skunkiness. Taste is reasonably smooth, lots of grain and corn but not much hop bitterness or anything else interesting. If its a choice between this and Molson/Labatts crap Sleeman wins hands-down, but other than that its nothing specialt. For a better beer from my hometown drink a Welly!
