lowg (123), Scarborough, Ontario, Canada Aug 21, 2009 Bottle, opened with a big whiff of skunk. After the skunk settled, it was mostly grass and sweet grain. Pours clear yellow with a thick white head. Grainy and corny flavour finish was weak. AaronBouchard (128), Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada Aug 18, 2009 A beer I have had many times but I forgot to rate it. Light and not very creamy unlike the name may suggest. The best beer out of the Sleeman stable that I have sampled. I find this beer slightly sweet and slightly corny much like MGD. Though this is better then MGD. Cirrhosis (610), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Aug 4, 2009 Yet another beer left over from my wedding weekend for me to review, glad it’s a free one. Light copper body with a tall rocky cap, this was mostly due to the “I don’t give a shit about this beer pour”. Powerful stinky skunk aroma I can smell my glass from a distance away, way to bottle in a clear bottle Sleeman. Corn and rooting malts round out this garbage aroma and speaking of garbage I just smelt old used coffee grounds. Taste is marginally better then aroma, malty light taste with a slightly dark bitter finish. Metallic and corn flavours keep popping up along with some apple in the finish. Beer seems to heavily carbonated to me. Good beer to just slam back when your drunk nothing really to offensive here but unless I get it for free I’d never drink it. Oh gawd the smell just keeps getting worse. Strangebrewer (208), Chatham, Ontario, Canada Jul 23, 2009 500ml can. Poured clear golden amber with a small lasting white head. Modrate sweet grain aroma. Medium bodied. Smooth, slightly hoppy, sweet taste. Generic beer. AskForJenny (627), Ontario, New York, USA Jul 22, 2009 An occasional favorite that seems to have disappeared from the local market. Good copper color, decent froth and carbonation, whiskey malt palate. bulldogops (153), Alberta, Canada Jul 17, 2009 Updated: Jul 20, 2009Bottled. 5%. A passable patio beer and the price is right. Pale, clear, w/ a white head. Aroma is kind of corny/ vegetable-like. Has a light sweetness, light body, creamy, average carbonation. merlin48 (509), New Tazewell, Tennessee, USA Jul 4, 2009 473 ml can pours a clear light golden body with a tall vanilla head. Muted aroma of corn syrup and faint grassy hops. Light bodied with medium carbonation. Not a lot to speak of in the flavor department. Faint hops, cooked corn, and a creamy maltiness. Better than its reputation, perhaps, and an inoffensive cream ale. Vertical Bacon Strips (874), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Jun 23, 2009 Another "just a bit different to appeal to the masses" beer.
Poured out a light gold beer with a small white rocky cap and minimal lacing. The aroma is quite light with corn, some grain and a touch of skunk (very little). Boring ass beer in the flavour department but it gets it done. Uninspiring corn and grainy malts and weak hops (a good thing in this beer). So-so smooth, finished soft with a very slight bitterness. Yawn.
