bitter (1137), Henderson, Nevada, USA Aug 22, 2006 gold colored brew with a white head. not much nose ot discern. stale tasting corn and lemon husks and a sweet metallic after taste. nah! sisyphus12 (98), Belmont, Massachusetts, USA Aug 17, 2006 regular 12 oz glass. Pours with a rather large head that dissipates quickly. A light grain aroma is initially distinct. Light clear golden glow to this beer. In tasting, this is a pretty standard but smooth ale that is reasonably balanced. A crisp clean finish makes this a nice beer to have on a warm summer day. LordBeamish (144), Boozetown, Ontario, Canada Aug 12, 2006 On tap: This beer tasted great for two reasons: first, it’s way better on tap, and two, I chugged one back after a horrific round of golf. Pours a nice rich amber colour with some carbonation and a creamy white head. A flowery and somewhat bready aroma introduces a smooth and malty taste. Sweet aftertaste. A nice beer for a change, but personally, I couldn’t drink too many of these in one sitting. bitbucket (2027), Kirkland, Washington, USA Aug 11, 2006 Bottled. Pours a clear pale amber with a scant and diminishing white head. Lightly flowery aroma with a bit of nuts. Light body with medium carbonation. The taste is grainy bland, leading to a nothing finish. I finally find a beer locally that says "Cream Ale" that also fits into the Ratebeer cream ale category, and my first thought is "OK, where’s the cream?" SSSteve (2049), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Aug 9, 2006 clear gold with about 7 bubbles in it. i can count them! creamy white head. bland, grainy, nothingness. the clearest beer ever. man this is bad. Palidor19 (1750), Brandon, Florida, USA Aug 8, 2006 I dod not care for this one at all. The beer tasted too skunky for me. While the IPA nad the porter isvery good, this one fall very flat CanadaCam (109), Canada Aug 2, 2006 On tap. Probably the best cream ale I know of. Nice colouring and smooth taste. One of the more popular brews on tap in Canadian pubs, too. Could do with a little less carbonation, though. Too bad you can’t get this cask-conditioned. Suttree (2701), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Aug 2, 2006 Yellow, with a big foamy head. Lemony, citric aroma - maybe a tad skunky. Citrusy, some notes of vanilla, maybe some sour, and a bit of a peppery finish.
