2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 TerryR (383) - Oswego, Illinois, USA - OCT 26, 2006
Light golden with a long lasting, fluffy white head. Light aroma of grain and corn. Corn is a bit more noticeable in the flavor. Slight sweetness before a somewhat bitter finish. Easy drinking with a bit more flavor than the macros.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 ferociousgoat (8) - CANADA - OCT 18, 2006 does not count
Aroma: slightly acidic with a hint of barley. Pours as a pale golden colour with a supriseingly frothy head. A malty slightly flowery first impression but is quickly overtaken by bitterness. Finishes with a very bitter citrus aftertaste. An accomplished ale, much better than any macro brewerys have to offer.
2.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 trafford (171) - Germantown, Tennessee, USA - OCT 18, 2006
This beer is just making it into the Memphis Market and tried it at a Fresh Market Beer Tasting. It poured a light color with a very light body. Much better than most American/Europen macros.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 shigadeyo (2394) - Harrison, Ohio, USA - OCT 1, 2006
Labeled as "Sleeman Cream Ale 86*"... Had a few of these at a friend’s party last night... This was an average beer, but still better than the American macros. Light aroma, light color, light flavor, and light bodied. Clean and smooth with moderate carbonation. A decent beer that can be enoyed in mass quantity. On a side note, I’m glad to see that Sleeman has finally switched to brown bottles.
12 oz bottle.
1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 RagallachMC (631) - Cleveland, Ohio, USA - SEP 26, 2006
bottle. Aroma: Not much. Slight graininess and a bit of skunk. Appearance: Pale golden in color, and quite possibly the clearest beer I’ve ever seen. Head was White and foamy, but dissipated rapidly. Flavor: Again, not much. Light malt flavor with a bit of corn. A slight hop flavor leaning towards floweriness. Finish was fairly clean. Palate: Light bodied and watery. Medium carbonation. Overall: Boring. Nothing horribly wrong with it, but nothing good about it either.
2.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 POD (198) - USA - SEP 5, 2006
Cool Bottle. Pours bright yellow with white puffy head. Not much carbonation noticable. Flavor was creamed sweet corn & light hops. Crisp, quick, light aftertaste of sweet clover or honeysuckle. All in all, it was a pretty okay cream ale.
