primitive (9), Canada does not count May 18, 2005 Golden colour, nice foamy head. Great combination of hops and malts. Not as flavourfull as other cream ales yet delicious none the less. Definitely worth a try. ddenomme (27), Mississauga, Ontario, Canada Apr 29, 2005 This is enjoyable for a mass-produced beer if you adjust your expectations accordingly. Taste is crisp and pretty dry with slight sweetness at the finish. Colour a uniform pale copper. Little head. Good ice cold. Commodore (112), Ontario, Canada Apr 10, 2005 A good session ale. Not overpowering or cloying. Nice golden colour. Taste was balanced with malts and hops, but sweeter than an English bitter. CharlesDarwin (1824), Point Judith, Rhode Island, USA Apr 9, 2005 Gitchee Gumee Brewfest 2005. Wow, this is one of the most putrid beers I’ve had. It stinks of bad fruit and must. Tastes bland and skunky, even on tap. Doesn’t really deserve a rating. LordGandalf (9), Manitoba, Canada does not count Mar 26, 2005 Great Canadian Beer - Really enjoy it, I like the flavour, and the clear bottles - Sleeman is my "usual". Kuey (30), Windsor, Ontario, Canada Mar 22, 2005 Good Canadian style beer. good flavour, good appearance, good pallet, no bad aftertaste. BeerAteHer (384), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA Mar 17, 2005 Clear glass bottles - must be recent because there’s no skunk. The color of this beer is as if honey was poured in. Pours a thick-bubbled head which dissipates quickly; some superficial lacing lasts to the end of the glass. Aroma is quite malty and the flavor holds a much stronger degree of malt than hops; also seems as if there’s added sweetener in there. The body is also somewhat cloying as if sugar is used, but at least it goes down easy. The strong point of this beer is its bold maltiness -- yet I’m forced to deduct 2 Overall points because of the way the brewery throws around terms in its title -- this beer is neither "cream"-like nor "ale"-like. can8ianben (903), Pasadena, California, USA Mar 16, 2005 A plesant bitterness that makes this more interesting than most of Sleeman’s easy drinking beers. Full bodied, but not spectacular. I enjoy it more on the colder side.
