Pale gold pour with minimal head which went away quickly and stayed away. Some slight hopcitric and creamy malty aromas and flavors, but overall a watery mess of a beer. muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA

Lightly skunky, lightly grassy, somewhat stale aroma. "Creamy"? Well, it’s smooth I guess, but mostly due to the lack of distractions like "flavor", "malt", and "hops". This is like drinking instant milk with the milk flavor removed, there’s just nothing there but a vague thicker-than-water feelling. Very light sweetness. Probably the worst of Sleeman’s line that I’ve had. bhensonb (4401), Woodland, California, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jun 4, 2007 The grassy hop aroma expected from a light lager. The brassy gold color and frothy white head you’d expect from a lager. A bit thin bodied. Not bad. The level of bitter is indeed what one might expect from an English bitter, and the accompanying malt is not inappropriate. Something of a mule, in the hybrid sense. However, it is surprisingly drinkable. Interesting essay. heemer77 (4312), Savannah, Missouri, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Nov 11, 2004 Almost no head with a slightly darker gold body. Nice light aroma of corn. The taste has some metallic notes and some smoky aftertaste. The flavor also has some corn flakes. tiggmtl (4312), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 3/20 | May 25, 2004 Once the skunky aroma disipates, cooked cabbage/corn (DMS) comes to the fore. Clear pale golden with thin white head that recedes to cover. Very sweet with only the slightest bitterness. Mouthfeel is light - I’m sure they were aiming for "refreshing." Too bad they hit on "watery" instead. Bottle (clear). Skinnyviking (4193), Copenhagen, Denmark
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jul 23, 2006 Bottle. Quickly disappearing white head. Clear yellow body, heavily carbonated. Dry hops aroma and flavor with more bitterness than expected. Cream ? Ughsmash (4102), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Oct 30, 2007 Bottled. Poured clear bright golden with a nice initial cap of white head that faded away after a few. The aroma picked up sweet buttercream and pils-type malts and dried floral (if anything) from the hop end of the spectrum.. soft and sweet, with nothing really wrong with it. The flavor had pale and pils sweetness with soft butter and corn-like adjuncts.. some mild herbal bitterness and a sticky, adjuncty finish. Lighter-bodied and creamy as advertised on the palate, but the tacky, fake sweetness especially toward the back threw me off. goldtwins (4086), Nesconset, New York, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Nov 6, 2007 Poured a clear gold with a thin white head. The malty aroma is sweet and grainy. Candy sweetness with corn notes as the beer warmed. The flavor is sweet and malty with a mild bitter dry finish.
