Commercial Description:
Remarkably smooth for a full-flavoured beer. Our founder's intention was to combine the refreshing taste of a German lager with the distinctive taste of an English Ale without blending the two.

Very nice, quite sweet and creamy in fact. Good foam, a little too colder when I drank it, but very bubbly and amber.

I originally purchased a six-pack of this beer while returning home from a family vacation from Yellowstone in July, 2006. I came across a can in my refrigerator yesterday and decided to have it with my dinner. I’m not sure if it was the beer itself or the fact that it was the first barbecue of the season, but I enjoyed this beer more than my original review shows. Still pours a clear gold with a moderate white head that lasted through most of the glass. Not much aroma to speak of. The flavor is a little sweet with some grassy hops. Smooth, somewhat creamy mouthfeel. I realize this is not a much loved style, but I thought this was a better example of a cream ale.

Original review 7/23/2006. 11.2 oz. can. Pours a clear gold with a decent head that lasted through about 1/3 of the glass. Light, indescript aroma. Some hops present in the flavor, but there is definitely some corn as well. Somewhat smooth, but I expected more from a cream ale. I wouldn’t go out of my for this one. 5-3-6-2-9=2.5

Bottle, brought back by vacationing friend. Pours a light gold with a quickly disapating inch thick head. Aroma is a little sour. Very bitter initial sip, but the aftertaste mellows quickly with the malt. Not a bad beer, but nothing that would send me to Canada to get more of.

341 ml bottle, 5% a/v Pours a light golden colour with a soapy looking head. Aroma is light caramel, some nuts, and a bit of floral hops. The taste is nice and the beer is very smooth. Notes of vanilla and brown sugar are present in the palate while the taste itself is fairly generic. The aftertaste and mouthfeel is where this beer shines. Nice and creamy!

An occasional favorite that seems to have disappeared from the local market. Good copper color, decent froth and carbonation, whiskey malt palate.

341mL bottle: Clear, light amber color. Skunky hops to the nose. Flavor is sharp, distinctively a canadian ale with its floral notes and hints of fruit in the aftertaste. Well rounded mouthfeel. Robust and complex yet easy to drink and very enjoyable.

Rated 5/27/06: Simple is good with this one. Pours a medium light golden yellow with a thin white head and good carbonation. Aroma is subtle, creamy, and light with a slight malt nose. Mouthfeel is good and filling with a crisp finish. Flavor is very appealing. Easy simple and delicious, nice beer.
