A refreshingly smooth, full-bodied lager, with a subtle touch of all natural honey which creates a slightly sweet finish.

341ml bottle. Pours a bright amber red with a nicely proportioned head. The nose has honey, sweet malt, perhaps honey nut cornflakes. The taste has honey and malt. The palate is light to medium bodied with a sweet creamy texture and unfortunately the finish is a bit cloying and lacking in bitterness. Overall, it looks ok but goes downhill sharply from there.

0.341 bottle. Clear, light brown color with a reddish tinge and virtually no head. Aroma of bread, malts, quite heavy on the honey. Taste is sweet, malty; honey, although present, is rather fleeting. Light body, thin texture, and a lively carbonation. Finish is the most prominent part of the beer and actually delivers the promised flavors. Overall quite a standard lager.

Pours an amber with white head. Aroma is slightly sweet and malty. Taste is similar, smooth and drinkable. Not a bad honey brown.

this is like taking a Newcastle and watering it down, then adding some fake honey flavored corn syup to re-amp up the flavor. Not horrible, but not good.

Smells sweet and bready, pours brownish amber with little head. Smooth and light-medium bodied, tastes caramel and bread, sweet finish. Simple and malty.

Sampled on draft this beer poured a caramel color with a huge fluffy white head that lingered and left incredible lacing. The aroma was tangy, sweetish and had faint fruit. The flavor was bready, tangy, and had hintso f honey and golden fruits. Medium length finish. Medium body. Ok.

Fresh 6 pack from the brewery store – I’m revisiting this beer after an unexpected pleasant experience pairing it on tap with some pub grub recently. Poured a clear light amber lager in the stein with a decent 2 finger head . Poor cap retention but the surface foam laces the glass well. Aroma is better than most Sleeman products...at least you can smell some bready-toasty grains in this with a light wisp of hay. Nice chew of toasty malt up front, modest body to it, some malt sweetness in the front, some balanced with, some woody-herbal tones from hops... and a ripping dryness shows up at the finish..... mmmm decent.. If there is honey in this I missed it what I got in this profile was a decent take on a Vienna-styled lager (a style which is woefully underrepresented in local craft brewing), they could have had something going here, but the body verges on thin, it is over filtered and more red malts need to be used to bulk up body and bring it in about 6%abv. I am somewhat surprised this beer came so close to being a serviceable Vienna lager then failing to deliver in the final analysis....too bad. We need a good Vienna around here, but this may have to do until something better comes around – I like to mix this with Creemore Kellerbier for a summer “frankenbier” – good sipping on a hot patio deck.

Can. Pours a clear deep amber brown with a near white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has lots of sweet grains with some honey and a bit if earthy bread. Flavor has much more of an earthy bread note with a growing honey note.

(Rating #6380)

Crystal clear amber.light brown body with a huge foamy off-white head which dissipated very quickly. Some cereal malt aroma, caramel and some brown sugar qualities. Quite crisp, no hop presence, sweetness on the finish is almost cloying. Some alcohol is present which is crayzeeee compared to the ABV. Not as bad as I expected, but this is not one of the styles of beer I enjoy.

This was poured into a stemmed pilsener. The appearance was a transparent orange to brown color with a one finger white foamy head that quickly dissipated and left barely any lacing. The smell had a rich caramel sweet maltiness about it. The taste was moderately sweet with a light soapy flavoring in it. The aftertaste had the soapy arrangement to it with a watery finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a pretty good sessionable quality about it. The carbonation is super light. Overall, I say this was an okay Vienna lager. I’d rather have a regular Sam Adams first.
