1.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20 Gorbalev (2827) - Ontario, - JUN 23, 2005Bottle. Golden yellow pour, small head fades quickly. Sweet skunky aroma - typical Sleeman. Mouthfeel is quite thin. Taste is slightly sweet and syrupy - Sleeman Honey Light I guess. Quaffable enough I guess, but slight hints of macro ugliness creep in. I just can’t get paste the Sleeman Aroma these days. Oh well, it was free.

341 ml. bottle from Sleeman selections pack, thanks Kent! Pours a brown/dark orange ice-tea like colour. Initial head dissapears instantly with very minimal lacing. Visible carbonation that runs rampant throughout- very bubbly. Has a thin, watery body as well. Aroma is lime, cereal grains, yeast, and malt. Taste consists of malt, yeast, vanilla, cereal grains, bread, lime, caramel, toffie- very little hop bitterness(although it slowly reveals itself on the palate). Mouthfeel is lively with excessive carbonation. Virtually nothing on the palate besides faint hints of hops, lime, and vanilla. I would definitely consider this an Amber ale- not a great one, however. Not bad by any means, but not anything worth remembering in great detail.

Pale, bland, and watery. The flavor is of corn sugar and cardboard. Tried this on my trip to Toronto in 2013.
2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 jdobbs (85) - - APR 8, 2013
This unpasteurized lager is inspired by the natural freshness and sociability of draught beer. Brewed using proprietary Sleeman ingredients, and a special hopping process that delivers its distinctive flavour and cold refreshing taste.
2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 12/20 Bière-Luc (358) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 15, 2013

Bouteille 341ml. Couleur or translucide, peu de mousse blanche. Arôme de grain, un peu d’agrumes. Goût de grain, un peu d’acidité, citron? Carbonation moyenne, corps moyen-faible.

Drank from a bottle, weak appearance, head, and aroma, and even weaker taste.

On tap. Not that bad of a pale lager, it certainly would taste awful warm but when cold I could chug it down tonight. Seemed a few browns darker than in the picture. Quite grainy, pretty much no hops until slightly on the finish, but not that vegetal or green apple... ummmm.... yeah not worth more than a few lines.

Bottle@Crest Hotel, Prince Rupert, Canada. Dark golden beer with a light head. The aroma is malty with a marzipan element, and the flavour is fruity with spiced yeasty elements. Overall a reasonable but quite plain yeasty and malty beer.

437 mL can. Strong hops aroma. Light golden color with moderate carbonation. Tastes of hops, corn, and slight fruitiness. Leaves a light hops taste on the palate. Overall, this beer is easy to drink, and even though it is not a light beer...I would recommend it to those who like lights.
