341ml clear bottle pours a pale straw color with a finger of white head that dissipates quickly leaving some spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma is cereal grains and light grassy hops. Taste is light malty sweetness with a lingering moderate hop bitterness that is somewhat offensive. Body is a little watery and carbonation is adequate. More macro swill.

Corn nose, straw yellow, pours a small white head. Flavour is corn and adjuncts, harsh, like a malt liquor. Very poor.

Bottle my mother-in-law recently brought back from NY - Pours a crystal clear golden color with a one finger thick white head. Light carbonation. Very light spotty lacing. Aroma is sweet grain. Flavor is the same. Light to medium body. Nothing fancy, but drinkable.

Bottle. Golden yellow pour, small head fades quickly. Sweet skunky aroma - typical Sleeman. Mouthfeel is quite thin. Taste is slightly sweet and syrupy - Sleeman Honey Light I guess. Quaffable enough I guess, but slight hints of macro ugliness creep in. I just can’t get paste the Sleeman Aroma these days. Oh well, it was free.

Bottle from LCBO. I got this bottle off the loose singles shelf with no idea how long it had been sitting there under the lights, so I half-expected to be hit with a face full of skunk when I opened the clear bottle. Surprisingly, there was no hint of that at all - instead, I got some mild bready malt notes and a hint of honey. Colour was a bright pale gold with a small white head. Body is thin, a bit sticky, but not bad. Flavour sticks pretty close to the aroma - quite sweet and one-dimensional, with a quick finish. I was actually surprised by this - it’s far from being a great beer, but it was better than I expected given the ridiculous marketing campaign and Sleeman’s past track record.

Canette 355ml.

Pours from a can. Drank it just for the review. Nice clear golden coulour. No head or very this white head. No distinct odour are perceptible. Grainy on the mouth, difficult to taste the hops. Very thin mouthfell. Undistingable from other canadian lager.

Bottle. Boring pale gold body topped with a thick vanishing white bubbly head. Its weak malty/hoppy aroma carries strong skunky and CO2 hints. Taste is definitely watery and has some light corny notes. Aftertaste is non-existent. Truly brewed for carbonated water lovers...

pours pale golden with a quickly disappearing white head. grainy, corny, distinctive sleeman malt and yeast, thanks god it’s not in a clear bottle (which would’ve had the total sleeman distinction - i.e. the added skunkiness). very light hopping - crisp, clean short finish.
