COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A rich, well-balanced pilsner style lager. Its extra body gives it extra smoothness with only a fleeting, pleasant after-bitterness.

341 ml bottle from biggjonstudd. neutral aroma. simple flavour, a little adjucty, not the worst pale lager but could be a lot better.

CLEAR 341ml bottle courtesy of G. I will try to be optimistic - but 1) Sleeman 2) pale lager 3) clear bottle - not bloody likely. Here goes. Very pale oily-looking gold with a large frothy white head (3-). Smell is on the border between "not good" and "ick" - burnt weeds and vaguely sugary with a little over-chlorinated peed-in swimming pool. Taste - better - still too sweet and a bit weedy, but not boozy or harsh - if I squint at it this is almost a 6-. Incredibly thin body - has the mouthfeel of maple sap (slightly syrupy yet watery too) with virtually no carbonation - its best feature is a quick finish and, apart from a real sugary impression, no aftertaste ... if you like Bud (you sick, sick person) you’ll probably like this.

Pours a really clear golden with a high white head that leaves nice lacing but fizzes out rapidly. Nose is of corn and grass. A little chemical as well. Taste is pretty much void but still a little bitter. Hay. Body is light and carbonation aggressive. Watery. Some odd metal in the finish. Meh.

Carbonatation moyenne, corps moyen faible.

Lite tasting beer. Not sure how to express the taste. It Is easy to drink... reminds me of a kokane.

Overall, this isn’t a very good beer. But what it does do is compliment just about anything you’re eating and it does so decently. Eating burgers? Chicken? Steak? Fish? It’s going to be good with that. Slightly bready at times, but it has this light bitterness that I find enjoyable come summer. The knock is the inconsistency of the final product; some batches feel almost greasy and this can detract from what is really an okay, drinkable Canadian mass market beer.

Grainy aroma. Gold colour with a small head. Taste is very bland. Not a bad taste, but the finish is not very pleasant. Overall, not a good beer, but better than many mass pale lagers.
