phishpond417 (1456), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA May 20, 2008 This brew packs a nice buzz: Pours a bright, clear amber/orange colour with a sweet white head. Aroma is fruity, with bananna, cloves oranges and fresh flowers on the nose. Taste is relatively fruity also, noticeable bananna and cloves, other tropical fruits. StewardofGondor (1934), Washington Heights - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Jul 6, 2006 Tap @ the brewery. Semi-translucent and cherry lacquered / amber-mahogany in color with a beautiful creamy, fuzzy grey head. Banana phenols leap out at the nose, pursued by honey baked pears drumming with caramel apples, pepper and cloves. It’s an aromatic surplus. Creamy flavor oozes in with a peppercorn fieriness and an oily/dry smear. Bananas are prominently portrayed with an alcoholic clover and pear reverberation. Banana cornflakes become a transitional element to a wholesome breakfast cereal component. Mild carbonation, but something’s really greasy about this one. Bright, alcohol-centered finish provides a bit of digress to the otherwise enjoyable abbey-style ale.
