UPDATED: JUL 5, 2007 Bottle from Whole Foods. Pours a brownish/amber color. Aroma is of canned blueberries with a little cinnamon. Moderate blueberry flavor along with a little graininess and a hint of hops. Not bad.

One of my favorite brews to have on draught. Pours a lovely clear amber colour, medium sized white head, and blueberry, floral and wheat aromas and nuances bursting out of the glass

Bottle 8/02 (Old Notes)-Pours a darker golden with a white head. Aroma of blueberries. Taste of the same with some caramel and malt coming in. This light bodied brew is not bad and rather tasty. Was not expecting much.

Keg at the brewpub in SLO, 30/04/14. Clear golden amber with a moderate off white covering. Nose is blueberries, light spice, wheaten bread, sugary notes, berry fruit medley. Taste comprises much the same, pretty 1D stuff, blueberries, pale malt, straw, sweet notes. Medium bodied, light spritzy carbonation, crisp clean execution. Ok as fruit beers go, the carbonation level keeps it drinkableand stops it from getting sticky sweet, ideal beer on a tasting flight as I wouldn’t be looking for a whole lot more!

The aroma is choked with blueberries. The flavor, less so. Altogether a nice fruity beer, though I’m not eager for another. But I must admit this was well done. Seems to be a pale ale underneath, as I detect some bitterness.

Pour is clear ruddy amber with a thin white head...smell is blueberry, with an unpleasant warm soggy malt (like when you go to a brewery while they are brewing) smell...taste is bright, with some strange malty flavors, but the blueberry being acidic and metallic...blech...

Draught at the Santa Barbara location; listed as only 3.3%abv. Dark gold-amber color with a slight haze. Blast of blueberry in the aroma with some wet straw and grain. Flavors of husky grains and very subtle blueberry. Pretty sweet and full flavored for the strength, and I like that the blueberry is almost undetectable in the flavor, but there is something odd about how prevalent it is in the aroma.

Blueberries up the wazoo! a dark golden body with poor clarity is not really exciting. the aroma is bluebarry pancakes, not bad if it is sunday morning but this was monday night and i wanted a beer! the flavor almost had some malt in it but then the blueberries came back to haunt me. they were everywhere, no balance here. at least the body was on the light side and the carbonation was moderate so this scooted out of range of the taste buds farely quickly.

Amber gold color. Smells of blueberries and yeast. Not much head, but delicate lacing (plastic pint glass). The start is grassy, passing through confusion, but the end, which persists, is blueberry. The hops tend to get lost in the fruit. Not so bad. Interesting. But buy another six pack?

Slight artificial blueberry aroma. Like a blueberry puree or some blueberry Now and Laters. Pours amber with a small head. Flavor is a mild blueberry against a regular amber ale. The hops and caramel malt definitley over power the blueberry flavor. It does peak through in the beginning on the front of the tongue, and again on the after taste, but it is still relatively weak. Body is medium. It was ok. Will not seek out, but would maybe have again as a desert beer or something.
