2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Keg at the SLO brewpub, 30/04/14.
Clear golden with carbonation well evident and off white spotting forming atop the glass.
Nose is pale malt, trace of honey, straw, faint caramel.
Taste comprises light citrus, bread dough, straw, touch of honey.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close.
Yup - there’s a small dollop of honey in this one but ultimately its a tedious affiar that offers little.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
A clear golden pour with a white head. Very light floral honey aroma. Some yeast, a definite grain sweetness, some biscuit, and a bit of a fruit ester profile. Fairly bland flavor. Sweet grain and biscuit malt flavors, some floral notes, and maybe some sugar. A little bit of fruity esters, too.

I Found this to be pretty tasty. Some honey for sure but it has a nice crispness to the beer that makes it feel light and airy. Finish is very honey but isn’t too sweet.

2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Draught at the brewpub. Clear golden, near no head. Honey aroma. Sweet and fruity, dripping with honey. Very sweet with an all-honey flavour, none of the dreaded boiled vegetables I dread in honey beers. Clearly a beer for honey freaks only.

OK. I cut and pasted this part from my other ratings at SLO brewing: "Tried at the brewpub in downtown Paso Robles after a day of visiting wineries. Man, the wineries ROCK here. What an awesome day. What a better way to finish off the day than to sit down with a sampler platter of ice cold uber-crappy beer." On to the beer: Yellow color. Lightly sweet. Hint of dishrag. No bitterness or hop aroma or flavor.

2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Draught at the Santa Barbara location. Dark gold apple juice color with no head. Watery iced tea with plenty of honey in the aroma. The flavor is dominated by the honey, with a slight tea quality as well. Quite sweet, like honey was stirred into the beer, and almost no bitterness. Light and watery body. Wow, this almost doesn’t taste at al like beer, but is manageable enough. I don’t think I would enjoy a whole pint of this though.

2.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Pours a clear, bright golden colour. Head is a little weak- both in size and aroma. Leaves behind little evidence of lacing. aroma is faint of fruit and grain. On the palate, very light again, slightly watery, grainy and hint of corn.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Paso Robles location. Very light beer that has a big honey nose (not cloying) but a very nice honey and spice flavor. Smooth and easy to drink on a hot summer day.
