3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
500ml bottle pours a hazy golden color with a 2 finger white head that leaves some spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma is light fruity with a light citrus note. Taste is light fruity sweet with a citrusy bitter finish. Light to medium body with lots of carbonation providing a nice tingle on the tongue. A nicely done Belgian strong ale, but there are better ones to be had.

Bottle from old backlog notes 07. Pours a hazy pale yellow golden color with a large fluffy white head. The aroma and flavor have straw, yeast, biscuits, mild spices, light fruit, some floral notes, nothing really popped.

33cl bottle from Vanuxeem. Bought due to being given the bar mat a few months ago and always been curious what it was like. Well.. it’s a fairly standard blond Belgian beer. Moderate sweetness, moderate carbonation, quite a mild flavour for the ABV, the yeast taking a back step to its drinkability. Would have again but wouldn’t go out of my way for it.

Thx! 33 cl. bottle sampled @ Gollem. Golden, huge creamy white head. Smell is muted but sweet, white sugar with hay and light alcohol. Taste is sweet, boozy, white sugar, esters, white bread, touch hay. High carbonation. A very bland Belgian blond with a reasonable amount alcohol & that is it.

Ordinary Belgian blond beer. Good to taste once and forget it right away. Nothing more.

Clear goldenamber in color with a ring of white head. Aroma is little sweet, alcohol tones with a bit of a spice note in the end...the belgian yeast is strong.

33cl bottle served in a Struise glass. Pours a light blonde/dark straw colour with a generous white head. Quite lively carbonation. I would say this beer would be a tribute to Duvel that hasn’t quite managed to pull it off. I wouldn’t put this far off though and certainly not as far off as the ratings put it. Slightly easier drinking but clearly less quality. Less stony dryness than Duvel but the same basic underlying flavours are present. I would recommend people to try it.

Very pale color, white foamy head. Fresh, citrussy taste, quite sweet. Very refreshing. The taste isn’t anything complex, but it’s really enjoyable!

Mooie heldere goudkleur, dikke laag wit schuim, weinig koolzuur. Aroma is zoetig en moutig. Smaakt lekker, klein beetje zoet, beetje bitter.
