COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is Sloop Brewing’s artistic ale. The Sauer Peach’s complex flavors come from a natural sour culture. This tart flavor is woven with sweet peach nectar to provide your palate with a contrastingly balanced beer. It is light in body, and stands at 4.3 by volume. One theory holds that the Berliner Weisse style ale originated from the Huguenots passing through the Flanders region of Belgium on their way to Germany. Later, the Huguenots established a community in New Paltz, NY, which is just across the Hudson River from Sloop Brewery. This is our interpretation of their beer.

Bottle... Poured cloudy, pale, yellow with a thick forming, white head. Aroma of tart, sour peaches with a mild funk. A little metallic at first, but as it warmed this faded and nice yeast funk, and acidity took over with a lovely peach juice flavor.

I thought this was a pretty solid beer. A little tart. Some wheat flavor. Peach/fruit is present. Not the best example of the style, but not bad either.

Phenomenal aroma, oaky woody aroma with lactic sourness. Some fruit in there but not distinctly peach. Great aroma for a sour. Taste is lactic sour. Maybe 4 or 5 of 10. Some oaky wood and maybe slight peach. They really fermented the peach sweetness away on this one. Was served prob too cold. As it warms a bit I am getting more of the peach, but still not that sweet. Really an impressive sour from a small brewery. Also has more body than many Berliners. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22oz bomber shared by dmac. Poured a hazy straw color with a small fizzy white head. Aroma of sour peaches, funk, pale malts, and some floral hop notes. Taste mimics the nose with an almost lemon lime sprite soda taste as well.

Bomber thanks to yobdoog. Poured a slightly hazy golden body with an average sized foamy white head. Aroma has a little bit of soapiness to it, lots of peach, light sourness, wet crackers, wheat, peach shampoo. Flavor is a bit better than the aroma, mild tartness, peach, sour patch kids. Medium body, average carbonation, average duration on the aftertaste which is nice and tart. Good stuff.

22 oz. bottle. Pours a cloudy pale gold with a thin-moderate white, somewhat fizzy, head that vaporized before the second sip and left no lace. Pleasant aroma of peach with some mild sour notes. The flavor is sour, but not mouth-puckeringly so, and nicely balanced with peach fruitiness. Very mild bitterness at the finish. Light-medium bodied. Very nice berliner weiss.

Bottle thanks to Matt. Pours a cloudy orange yellow with small frothy white head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is a strong peach nectar, funk, and oak. Thin mouthfeel with tart peach, funk, and sour finish. Easy to drink, very impressive.
