COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is Sloop Brewing’s artistic ale. The Sauer Peach’s complex flavors come from a natural sour culture. This tart flavor is woven with sweet peach nectar to provide your palate with a contrastingly balanced beer. It is light in body, and stands at 4.3 by volume. One theory holds that the Berliner Weisse style ale originated from the Huguenots passing through the Flanders region of Belgium on their way to Germany. Later, the Huguenots established a community in New Paltz, NY, which is just across the Hudson River from Sloop Brewery. This is our interpretation of their beer.

Bottle thanks to Jay. Pours cloudy lemon yellow gold. Bone white head. Nose/taste of fresh peach including pit, lactose, sour milk and yogurt. Mild tartness. Some creamed peaches throughout. Medium body. Nice beer.

A hazed golden ale with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet sour peach with light mineral and acidic notes, pleasant. In mouth, a nice tart sweet peach with light mineral notes, light buttery notes, grapeskin, well done. On tap at CNY Brewfest 2016.

Can, nearly looks like flat lemon juice in the glass. Sour nose....flows thru body to finish.. Lactic acid. Seriously acidic. Pushing some boundaries this brewery is. This one took awhile to get my head around. Tart then sweet and then seemingly tarter than before. A beer that at first confused and astounded me. Certainly standing out from the tame crowd.

Mild-moderate acidity, light peach character, mild buttery diacetyl detracts from experience. One dimensional but would be pretty damn tasty if not for the buttery thing

Beer Table To Go in GCT tap: pours murky gteyish yellow. Aroma is sour mash and mich of it with perhaps some fruit but you got to strain. Taste is quite sour but does not bite too hard and does not linger too long. Good.

Draft. Golden pour with white head. Light peach, sweet aromas. Flavor is similar just peach and sweet tones.

22oz bottle from Shoreline Beverage pours a murky orange with some creamy, white head. Nose has plenty of peach, juicy yes, but some unripened peach too, some vegetal notes, some apple cider vinegar, a little buttery, some soggy grist. Flavor has some juicy peach sweetness, tart notes, both lactic tartness and some unripened nectarine, mild malt, a little buttery oak, some soggy biscuit, white grapefruit, vitamin C. Full bodied, acetic finish.

Bottle, thanks to Bob (I think). Murky gold pour, offwhite head. Peach is present, along with dough, lemon, and toasted wheat; gently lactic tartness. Nice, refreshing. Bet this would have been nice during the imperial stout blind tasting.

Bottle... Poured cloudy, pale, yellow with a thick forming, white head. Aroma of tart, sour peaches with a mild funk. A little metallic at first, but as it warmed this faded and nice yeast funk, and acidity took over with a lovely peach juice flavor.

I thought this was a pretty solid beer. A little tart. Some wheat flavor. Peach/fruit is present. Not the best example of the style, but not bad either.

Phenomenal aroma, oaky woody aroma with lactic sourness. Some fruit in there but not distinctly peach. Great aroma for a sour. Taste is lactic sour. Maybe 4 or 5 of 10. Some oaky wood and maybe slight peach. They really fermented the peach sweetness away on this one. Was served prob too cold. As it warms a bit I am getting more of the peach, but still not that sweet. Really an impressive sour from a small brewery. Also has more body than many Berliners. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
