(Draught@HBF2008) Deep golden-copper with a smallish, lacy head. Aroma of sweetish toffee, fruit and berries. Very strongly berryish flavor with grainy maltiness. Hides the ABV well. Medium-bodied, medium-carbonated. Berries are overemphasized, but otherwise it was ok and pleasantly malty.

Aug 1, 2008 Bottle. Orange amber, low tanned head. Fat fruity nose. Fruity, fatty malt base with a fn herbal hop counterpoint, ends on a spicy note. ily full body, grassy retronasal.

Jun 25, 2008 Bottle. Rather sweet and warming beer, there’s also hints of root vegatables which I don’t find that pleasant, even though it doesn’t screw this beer up totally and it’s definitely drinkable. I prefer the Majbock from Grebbestad though.

Jun 15, 2008 (Bottle 33 cl) Courtesy of joergen. Clear amber golden with an off-white head and a beige head. Solid maltiness in the nose. Fairly good body with some rather odd ashy accents and a very bitter finish. Not bad but very atypical for a Heller Bock. 160408

Jun 11, 2008 Bottle. A amber beer with a off-white head. The aroma and taste is of caramel, corn, hops and some alcohol. Medium to full body with a light bitter dry finish.

Deep orange, tiny head. Grainy and nutty aroma, Anna thought peanuts, I didn’t. Slightly gingery hops too. Sharp lively palate, also creamy. Smooth sweet gingery-cake maltiness. Pleasant well-balanced hops. Some peanut taste later, so Anna was right about that earlier. Very solid smooth brew, full of flavour and character.
