Red to brown in color with a thinner head. Sweet smells with malts, paper, caramel, and roastiness. Dark fruitts, some alcohol, and roasted malts in the tastes. Nice feel in the mouth.

Oct 5, 2008 Bottle from 2007. Big light brown foam that slowly goes down to a lace. Nice smoth chocolate aroma and some dried fruit. The taste have a nice chocolate maltinessbut not to big body to be a imperial stoute. An propriate bitterness with just a hint of residual sugars to balance. No burnt malts present in the taste so I would say it is more of a porter than stoute. Still a nice beer.

Oct 3, 2008 330 ml bottle. Dark brown, almost black body with a thin beige head. Aroma is sweet malt, some roast, a fruitiness almost like sherry and coffee. Flavor is sweet malty, coffee, fruit, some caramel and a little hint of alcohol. Well made, complex balanced and delicious.

Sep 4, 2008 2008 bottle. Black, lacing cappucino beige head. Woody, orangey sacher cake aroma. Also smoke and menthol, a real treat. Menthol woody flavor, very balanced burned maltiness, dark chocolate. Not that thick, but beautiful smooth mouthfeel. A great Impy, even when this young.

Aug 30, 2008 Bottle BB v.22 2018. Pours black with medium thick, white head. Veryt sweet aroma of sugar, cream chocolate, a hint of coffee and some lemon and lime. Very fresh and ligt taste, although quite sweet. This beer is perplexing in the way it’s sweet and light at the same time it’s complex and big. Maybe more of aa Imp. Porter than Stout.
