Malty, roasted taste with notes of dried fruit and Christmas spices (cardamom?). Fairly low bitterness, rather sweet. Not really balanced, but drinkable. KimJohansen (4285), Copenhagen V, Denmark Sep 20, 2008 Cloudy reddish brown with medium off white head. Sweet fruity aroma with roasted malt, caramel and spices. Sweet and spicy flavour with roasted malt and caramel. larsga (2293), Oslo, Norway Jun 30, 2008 Huge dark beige lasting head. Faintly hazy red-brown body with vigourous carbonation. Sugary, malty, peppery aroma with roasty herbal spicy dried fruit notes. Very harmonic. Dryish spicy fruity taste of cinnamon and cloves with peppery herbal notes. Mouthfeel is kind of thinnish and a bit dusty, but still nice. Taste is long, but there is no distinct aftertaste. Very nice! (0.5l bottle, Systembolaget, Göteborg.) Maria (4344), Thisted, Denmark Jan 4, 2008 Dark golden with a nice head. The aroma has notes of yeast, spice and malt. The flavour has notes of roasted malt, caramel, candy sugar, spice, some fruit and a delicious, slightly bitter finish. Very like a British Christmas ale, not as "Christmassy" as many beers from other countries. tarjei (1300), Bryne, Norway Dec 21, 2007 50 cl bottle. Brown color, ok beige head. Sweet malt, moderate bitterness. A bit watery.
