Bottle from Systembolaget. Best before 11 september 2013. Pours dark brown with a small frothy off-white head. Aroma has tropical fruits and roasted malts. Medium body with somewhat sticky carbonation, notes of bitter roasted malts with a dry finish.

Black color, brown head. Hoppy, green, citrus scent. Malty, grainy, bitter, citrus taste. Bitter aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel, medium high bitterness. Grapefruit.

Bottle 33 cl. A dark brown colour with a large, creamy, beige head. An aroma of roasted malt, choclate, grapefruit and orange. The taste is medium to heavy sweet and medium bitter. Amedium body andoily texture. A fresh and nice IPA

Jeez what a wonderful beer. Everything is just right with this beer. The smell and the taste is heavenly. With a good and maybe a little dry aftertaste. But I just love this beer. Would it be sweeter, I had given it top marks.

[ Trade by omhper ]. Dark dark black brown colour with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, moderate to heavy hoppy, pine, citrus, grapefruit, orange - citrus. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, dark roasted, pine, fruity hops, roasted bitter, hops bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20130110]

Aroma is somewhat fruity and hoppy with vanilla, berries and some sweetish rye notes. Flavour has vegetables typical to danish ales, some gooseberry bush, berries and bready malt. Also some licorice and herbs occur at the middle of the glass. Flavour is a complete disappointment after the aroma.

Appearance: Very dark with a red-brown tint. Medium tan head, dissipates quickly.
Aroma: Citrus, Pine, Vanilla, Raisins, Mango, Strawberry/Raspberry.
Taste: Lots of hop bitterness that lingers on, roasted notes.
Palate: Medium carbonation, sticky.

Appearance: Black color with a fine off white head. Ok lacing.
Aroma: Grape hoppy, fruity and dark malt.
Palate: Thick and oily body. Slightly sweet and a lovely bitterness. Creamy carbonation.
Taste: Rich hoppy, fruity, vanilla and dark malt.
Overall impression: Complex, well blended and just LOVELY. Hallalujah I am in heaven.

Very dark brown. Mouthwatering hop aroma. Bittersweet, but more on the sweet side in the first sip, then the resin b itterness creeps in and takes over.

Aroma: Smelling of nuts, grape-fruit peel and pine needles.
Appearance: A black brown beer. A tan head with good lacing and good curtains.
Taste: Tasting sweet burnt brown bread, orange marmalade and bitter hay.
Palate: Low carbonation, a coarse (and oily!) texture. A big body with a very dry finish.
Overall: Rather complex, rather good balance. But maybe too much of all.
