Bottle from Systembolaget. Very dark brown. Mouthwatering hop aroma. Bittersweet, but more on the sweet side in the first sip, then the resin b itterness creeps in and takes over.

rarbring (1094) - Linköping, SWEDEN - JAN 20, 2013
Aroma: Smelling of nuts, grape-fruit peel and pine needles.
Appearance: A black brown beer. A tan head with good lacing and good curtains.
Taste: Tasting sweet burnt brown bread, orange marmalade and bitter hay.
Palate: Low carbonation, a coarse (and oily!) texture. A big body with a very dry finish.
Overall: Rather complex, rather good balance. But maybe too much of all.
Note: On-tap at a De Klomp tasting. Reviewed 2013-01-19.

Hop-roasted aroma. Quite tame. Taste is bitter all the way, slight dark fruit, quite one-dimensional. very IPA, not that black, except in color.

Ar: lots of hops, resin, grapefruit, pine, tropical fruits, ash, vanilla, coffee, warming finish. Ap: big tan creamy head, black body quite appealing. T: burnt rubber (Nelson Sauvin) paired with weird burnt notes, coffee, ash, vanilla and alcohol. P: soft carbonation. O: to date I’ve Only had two BIPAs That I’ve liked, this isn’t one of them..

Beerheart65 (895) - Pori, FINLAND - DEC 29, 2012
Cola-like color is red/black, thin creamy head, lacing. Aroma has strong citrus hoppiness, pine, caramel malting, bread. really soft and round in mouth, low carbonation, high on bitterness especially in finish, bit fruity sweetness in mix, medium body. I found this easy to drink and enjoy despite bitterness.

Bottle, bought @ Systembolaget, Hyltebruk. Pours lovely black with a small, staying, creamy, beige head. Aroma has roasted malts, light dark chocolate, soft citrus, light pine. Medium to low carbonation, fine dry and creamy mouthfeel. Flavour has quite some roasted malts, light coffee and cocoa. Fine bitterness with pine and citrus. Roasted astringent lingering bitterness.

(Bottle). Big hops fragrance with notes of tropical fruits and sweet flowers. Nice and smooth taste that first is mostly hops and then gets a flavoring of lightly burnt coffee and roasted malt. Palatable and well balanced, really good!
