Chocolate and fruity taste. Very dark color (coffee) and a lasting head. Alcohol percentage was 9 percent but you can’t taste any of it. Quite complicated taste. A very good beer!

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
A very dark Brown with a brick Red edge and a tan head. Very rich & fragrant, black licorice, coffee beans, a hint of smoke. Roasty up front with a sweet middle and a lingering bittersweet follow. Very nice feel, thick and mouth-coating, these Impy’s are delicious! A big "Domo Arigatou Gozaimasu" to Per for this Gem!

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: JUN 3, 2006 (Bottle 33 cl) Almost black beer albeit a slight reddish note. Thick, brown licorice-like head. Extremely full-bodied with a dry, burned mouthfeel and a pronounced bitterness probably mainly originating in the black malts. Very complex flavour-patterns and an impressingly, warming alcohol. Very sophisticated beer to be enjoyed in small doses. 021004

Bottle. Some strange looking funk on the rim of the bottle has me nervous. Slimy and orangish this doesn’t bode well with the suspicious Band-aid smell. Head lingers perhaps a bit long for an imperial stout. Methinks Pediococcus. Well carbonated. Roasted grain flavor is present. Thanks Jeppe!

33 cl bottle; Thick, oily with small head and low carbonation. Fruity, roasted, sweet aroma. Taste is lightly rasted, full and with some sugary sweetness with chocolate and caramel in the aftertaste. Thick, oily mouthfeel. Too sweet for my taste.

Low brown head on a very drark brown body. Taste is bitter, a real stout brew. It get more bitter as yopu empty the bottle. Not much alcohol taste there, but lots of bitterness. Good stout, though not the best I’ve tasted.
