COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Alkoholhalt: 9 %

UPDATED: MAY 19, 2013 A black color and a little white head. Aroma has roasty and chocolaty elements with light smokiness and licorice. Taste is sweet, malty and roasty. Licorice and chocolate are the prominent flavours, also some light fruity notes. The finish comes a bit too soon; stronger hoppiness would have added depth and balance to the taste. Full body, flat. This Imperial Stout had a nice malty character but lacked a little hoppiness, in my opinion.

From bottle @ HK’s Øl-messe 7th February 2015. Roasted malt aroma, nutty, alcohol. Clear dark brown with small tan head, not lasting. Moderate sweetness, more of the aroma notes. Medium+ body, oily texture, avg. carb., sweet finish.

(Slottskällans Imperial Stout) Bottle 330 ml from Nisse666, thanks! Vintage 2013, poured into a big snifter, ABV 9% Very dark brown colour on the body, almost totally black, save some red ruby shades from the light when passes through. Tall and thick building head, tan in colour, with good retention. Light lacing on the glass. Lots of sweet and milky chocolate on the aroma, light vanilla and alcohol coming from the back. Taste has also chocolate, more vanilla now, alcohol, even some whiskey surprisingly enough, coffee on the finish and roasted malts. Rich, thick body, soft carbonation, creamy and smooth on the palate. Very good.
