3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
(on bottle)Like the "Ljus", this is a very well done beer, got lots of dried fruits and malts in the aroma and and nice reddish-brown color. Full mouth and added some wood and vanillaflavours to the aroma. Finish is watery and just riight for a dunkel.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled. Reddish copper colour, small beige head. Caramellish sweet malts in aroma along with grassy notes. Weak roasted malts in flavour, which is smooth, sweetish bitter (caramel meets bitterness). Wellbalanced, like slottskällans beers usually are .

AMber with a nice offwhite head. Malty, milky aroma with some nuts. Flavor is malty and nutty as well, some fruity notes, a bit too thin to be really good, but its still a nice beer.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: FEB 7, 2006 (Bottled) Clear, dark amber color with a very small head. Dried-fruity, caramely, sweetish-malty aroma. Sourish, a bit vineous, caramely-malty flavor with some Scotch feel. Medium-bodied, quite low-carbonated, slicky palate. A nicely, smoothly caramely brew, but could be fuller in body. I’d place it somewhere between English and Scotch ales, although the brewer calls it a Münchener.
("Slottskällans Wien", May 1, 2004, was 5-4-6-3-13=3.1) Nice, dark red color with a small head. The aroma is malty with a hint of pine - and both sweet and dry. Dry, roasted-malty flavor with a bitter finish. Medium-bodied, oily and dry palate with balanced carbonation. Not bad.
