2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 TBone (9997) - Pori, FINLAND - OCT 30, 2005
Bottled
Clear copper brown, small white head. Flowery hoppy with sweetish diacetyl-like toffee hints. Quite light with butterscotch, grassy - notes (diacetyl? I’m not sure, not used to find it in Slottskällans, maybe just too caramelly). Drinkable but too sweet.

Bottle from Tbone, thanks! Amber color. Bready spicy aroma. Spicy flavor with rye bread, cardemom and anis. Sweet but luckily with a subtle spicing.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 FatPhil (7597) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - MAY 2, 2010
Keg (Pikkulintu, Helsinki) - as "Midvinterbryg"
4 caramel and lager,
3 lager with caramel added
5 caramelly lager, touch of wool later
3 some crispness as a lager, but some smoothness brought on by the caramel
9 so, did they put caramalt in this? dont’t know what’s wrong with this, if anything, but it’s just dull. Touch of washing machine detergent. Not a complete disaster, but I expect more from them.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 rlgk (7538) - Skövde, SWEDEN - FEB 7, 2006
AMber with a nice offwhite head. Malty, milky aroma with some nuts. Flavor is malty and nutty as well, some fruity notes, a bit too thin to be really good, but its still a nice beer. Earlier Rating: 11/4/2003 Total Score: 3.5 Nice amber color, not much head. Aroma is dark chocolate, some cocoa and brown sugar. Has a sweet flravor that turns into some bitterness. Has a nice palate and is a very good beer.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 duff (5484) - Lund, SWEDEN - JUL 11, 2002
Well, i had the old one named Munich, and the new one named Wien. Well i thought the Munich was pretty ordinary, also had a burnt ash flavour that made me want to stop drinking it, however the one i had under the new name (wien), tasted a bit better (but maybe i was dreaming), seemed to have a hoppier and more bearable, this score is an average of the two.
3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 Hansen (5468) - Assentoft, DENMARK - JAN 31, 2003
I don't like the aroma (ceralic?), and the head goes of to quickly. But the taste and finish is strong and full of hops. Long lasting dry final.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Svesse (5241) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - APR 1, 2006
(Bottled) Amber colour with creamy, disappearing head. Malty, roasted nose with dark rye bread, toffee, caramel and a light whif of smoke. Malty taste with the same aromas, maybe some chocolate and dried fruit in there as well. Mildly hoppy and chocolatey finish. Nice and very drinkable.
