COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Nordic är en ljus lager i nordisk småbryggeristil. Elegant maltig och rejält humlad med påtaglig beska och frisk eftersmak med citruskaraktär. Nordic on moderni vaalea lager, edustaen pohjoismaista pienpanimotyyliä. Tyylikkäästi maltainen ja reilusti humaloitu. Runsas katkeruus ja raikas sitrushedelmäinen jälkimaku.

50 cl bottle, #1101, BBE 26.11.2011.
Aroma has some citrus-like hoppiness and some bread ’n butter. Palate is a bit too thin and mouth feels a bit dry after the hops. Rather hoppy flavour has bread, butter and some gooseberry bush. This would be better without the bread and the goldings-like hops.

500ml Bottle - Golden with a white head. Pineapple, grapefruit and passion fruit feature in the really enticing aroma. The taste is tangy, hoppy and bitter with notes of grapefruit juice, pineapple slices in syrup and a fresh and lingering bitter finish. More like an ale than a lager in terms of taste, but taken for what it is, it’s a tasty beer.

Hoppy water. Dry hops at that. Nice bitter finish. Hop oriented, end of story. Too simple and 1-dimensional. Not unpleasant, but really not grabbing me.
Rerate of: 500ml bottle (K Market, Kamppi)
7 Lovely grapefruity aroma.
3 Rich straw colour, small frothy head.
7 Lovely grapefruity taste too. Citrussy retronasals. Something quite pungent about it, almost nettly.
4 Smooth palate, a little milky, pleasant carbonation. Finish is lovely and bitter, sticky and resiny, and so so bitter. Lasts for ages.
13 No way this is a lager, this is as good as an ale! A total of 3.4 is very rare for lagers. This is what a blond ale should taste like. Nearly on a par with Thornbridge, and for being a bottled beer, this is a really good one. This is as much a prejudice changer as ten fidy.

Bottle. Light golden, very small and fully diminishing head. Light to moderate malty and sweetish aroma, sweetish fruity citrus hoppyness. Body is light to moderate, malty - lightly grainy and lightly sweetish flavor, citrus hoppyness, faint fruitiness. Finish is average, malty – lightly grainy and dryish, hoppyness is sharp and harsh. Lager with lots of hoppyness – aroma and flavor are not in balance, hoppyness in the finish gets too harsh without any fruitiness.

500ml bottle from K-Supermarket Kamppi

Pours golden with a small sticky head. Aroma has hints of grain and grass. Taste is quite bitter with notes of hops and citrus. Long lasting bitter finish. A bit light bodied, but the massive bitterness compensates this well. Nice one.

500 ml bottle.
Pours a light yellow golden colour with a small, slightly lacy head. Aroma of hay, grains and floral hops. Flavour of floral hops, strong citrus, hay and bready malts. Medium bodied with a slick mouthfeel and a dry, bitter, bready finish. Some similarities with Mikkeller’s Burger & Bun L.A. Lager but this is too thin.

50cl bottle at Gråsälstasting #2. Poured clear pale golden in colour with thin white head. Fruity citrus in aroma. Quite grassy bitter in taste with some fruity notes as well. Some bitter in aftertaste blended with mild fruity notes.

50cl bottle @Gråsälstasting #2. Poured pale golden with a thin white head. Fruity, citrusy hoppy aroma, fresh. Flavor is semisweet malty, quite fruity and grainy. Flavor is very bitter for a lager. Overall a nice brew.

Aftertaste had black currant leaves and bitterness. Tasty but thin.

Pale yellow with a bleached head. Aroma is full of fruity hops (simcoe and citra) with lots of grapefruit and citrus. The malts provides just enough sweetness to back up the bitterness and strike a balance. Very flavourful, very quaffable. Great lager for the summer months.
