(sampled draught at Stockholm Beer Festival) Dark golden with a rich stable white head. Powerfull, thick, dry, malty and grassy aroma with hints of sweetened oranges and almond. Full round flavours with wonderfull chewy malts that coats your mouth. Grass, yellow fruit is detectable. Hoppy and semi dry finish. A very good Festbier!

UPDATED: DEC 28, 2004 Sampled draught at Stockholm Beer Festival.
Deep golden. Good combination of rich, buttery malt and grassy hops. Pleasant full blown filling mouthfeel. As bold and richly malty as I like my Oktoberfest to be.

Beautiful golden color. Very nice hop and malt aroma, sweet and fruity. Good body structure, malt flavor, sweet; the hop brings in some quality through its oils. Well balanced and quite powerful. Good.

(Bottled) Nice amber color with medium, lacy head. Sweetish, slightly perfumed and roasted-caramel-malty aroma. Bitter, well-hopped, aromatic, malty flavor. Medium-bodied palate with well-balanced carbonation. An excellent, well-hopped oktoberfest!

Bov (9424) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - OCT 5, 2006
courtesy of Per Samuelsson - pours a clear golden-amber colour and a little foam; earthy maltiness, cookie-like; soft palate and a solid malt backbone; late and very moderate bitterness along with some astringence; more malty notes in the finish (nuts, biscuits) - very well-made beer

Bottled. Pale copper colour, small white head. Aroma is caramel and saaz. Flavour is grassy, malty and slightly caramel. The grassy malts stays long in the aftertaste. Very well done oktoberfest beer.

0,5 l bottle. Copper color with diminishing head. Good malty aroma with toasted and caramel notes, hints of wood, nuts and apple. Malty yet dry flavor, toasty and grassy flavor. Very good maltiness and toastiness. Perhaps the best oktoberfest beer I have had.

Bottle at home ... Slightl;y hazy orange ... fruity banana nose ... big short lived foam head ... Way over fizzy ... solid fruity even some whesatyness with a brigth hop character. Gets wearing though.
