Roslager is a pale lager beer. A beer with good maltiness and medium wort strength. Together with a big spicyness from the hops this creates a beer with a balanced flavour and convincing bitterness in the finish. A beer with flavour from the tradition in the archipelago.

Alkoholhalt: 5,0%

Keg (Pikkulintu, Helsinki, Swedish Days 2007) Bland lagery aroma. Taste to match. Tries to be hoppy, but not very crisp or bitter. Nope.

Keg (Pikkulintu, Helsinki, Swedish Days 2007) Straw coloured, lively white head. Clean crisp hoppy pilsner aroma, quite pleasant for a lager. In the mouth it’s a disaster! Washing up liquid, soapy, nasty. When that passes it’s a watery lager. Not good, never again.

Bottle, 50 cl. Clear golden, small soapy head. Grainy malt aroma, with an unpleasant touch of potatoes and cauliflower. Some herbal hops. Medium bodied, good carbonation. Nicely balanced flavour with a fine bitterness. But this annoting potatoe/cauliflower aroma which appears in many SB brews destroys this beer.

500 ml bottle. Thin off-white head over pale copper body. Aroma is toffee/ cream-caramel, bread and sweetish grain with a fair amount of grassy hops. Taste is malty-sweet, with low hopbitterness, and a light sour aftertaste. Light-bodied and quite watery. Short sourish and slight bitter end.

Bottle. Golden colour with a fast receding white head. Very earthy aroma, like cauliflower. Malty & earthy flavour with a lurking sweetness. Rubbish...

(Bottle, thanks Gnoff) Pours hazy golden. Light spicy, fruity aroma with notes of Seville oranges, lychee and other citrusy tones. Citric flavour with tones of hops, nutmeg and a wood dryness. Medium body and mouthfeel.

Not crazy about this one. Both taste and aroma is very much what is acctually put into the beer. There is a hayish, breadish maltyness and a pretty strong grassy, crisp, dry, hoppy bitterness. It tastes kind of what pilsener malt (malt dried in 80 degrees celsius) tastes like and not much more. Not bad but it’s not really for me.

White head on a olden body. I found it had a strange taste, not too much to my taste. Drinkable, but I don’t think I’ll make it my regular beer.

500 ml bottle. Very pale golden. Crystal clear. Medium-sized white merengue head. Rich sweet marzipany and sugary aroma, with a perhaps a little crisp malts thrown in. Hops are subdued. Much of the same sugary maltiness is also found in the flavour. Some graininess also the be found. It is very refreshing and crisp, with an icing-like impression. Nice lager.
