Bottle 50cl. A completely black colour with a high, creamy, brown head. Good lacing. An aroma of burned malt, caramel and coffee. The taste is sweet and bitter. A medium to full body, oily texture, average carbonation and a long dry finish. Nice to see it back again after so long time.

(Bottle, 0.5 l, at Pikkulintu, 20110903) The beer poured almost black and clear. Its head was medium sized and almost white. Aroma had hops, roasted malts and metallicness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were roasted malts, liquorice, metallicness, hops, ash and bitterness. Aftertaste was ashy and bitter. This was very close to Black Rocke Porter. A pretty good beer.

Svesse (5875) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - SEP 25, 2008
(Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival, 19 Sep 2008) Very dark brown colour with brief, pale brown head. Roasted, malty nose with notes of toasted grain, cocoa and dark chocolate. Roasted, malty taste with dark chocolate and cocoa. Fairly dry with a generous cocoa bitterness. Slightly below medium body. Very nice, dry and chocolatey porter. I hope they continue brewing it, it’s one of their best beers.
