3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle: Thanks to VsXsV:
Medium brown head, which changes quick into a vast airy and sticky small brown head/lacing.
The beer poured dark brown but is black in the glass.
Smell gass, a slight hint of apple, hint of liquorice. When the beer has chambred a bit the gass notes are still there but there are also notes of light roasted malts, a hint of coffee and hints of clay and glue.
Taste is strong spicy/bitter (even sharp, but not in a mouthfeel way) the first second and is completely gone the 2nd second.
Than the taste changes into a mix of light smoked malts, low to medium bitter, some light liquorice, light roasted malts, some hops.
The bitterness turns more bitter towards the aftertaste. There are also hints of roasted malts and light dry roasted herbs.
Low to medium carbo, light spicy mouthfeel, medium watery body and a light watery texture.
Not bad but not great either, a good inbetweener I guess.

Beskan är vass som en cirkelsåg och fräser ut kanterna med brutal precision. Materialet i sig är av rätt typiskt snitt, stabilt och pålitligt men utan den där extra finishen.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: FEB 15, 2013 0.33l bottle from Systembolaget Passagen, Stockholm. A black beer. Yeah, it’s just pure good old black and it has this really big and really fluffy-lasting light mocha head. The aroma is not to extreme, but it has some both sweet and roasted coffee tones, hoppy and I sense some fruity rhubarb tone in this one as well. Lots of cold coffee in the flavor blended with a stingy and pungent forest-hoppy flavor. Stingy almost. It has a lively - almost aggressive carbonation level that’s disturbing the pleasure in drinking this a bit. Ends with even more cold - or should I say old - coffee, and with lots of Belgian chocolate. An OK one I guess.
0.33l bottle. This one pours a deep dark brown onr with a really massive and quite impressive looking brown top that’s really lacing down the whole glass with a symetrical patern. Looks really good this. On the nose its light roasted with some sweet milky chocolate. Traces of dark caramel and ice cream. Quite elegant non-extreme aroma. The taste is quite burned and roasted. Most the first, but I feel the mouthfeel lacks the punch needed to coap with all those burned flavors. A bit thin and almost watery mouthfeel actually, and it does not help that the carbonation level is a good pich above average. It’s well hopped as well, and there are notes of ripe fruits in between the roastiness. Ends with bitter cold coffee and some dark bitter chocolate. Not bad. 09.02.2013

Bottle. Pours a opaque black color with only a small of amount of red notes coming through the bottom of the glass, with a beige head. Aroma is of dusty notes, roasted malt, ash, burnt notes, coffee and a general hop aroma. Flavor has a light astringency, with roasted malt, subtle coffee and smoke, burnt and ashy notes and some dark fruit. The body is medium with a very smooth mouthfeel. Overall a pretty solid Porter.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
The scent is rather vague, with hints of roasted malt and coffee. The taste is a bit thin but it has the classic flavors of roasted malt, chocolate and coffee. The finish is slightly dry. An okay porter but as I said a little too thin!
