Bottle. Dark red brown. Light brown small head. Slightly sweet and some fruity notes in the aroma. Taste yeast, some roastedness, hints of dried fruit. A bit burning finish. Exciting experiment that works ok.

Beer to be released at Systembolaget on the 2nd of May. It poured an almost pitch black and hazy liquid with a red tint. Fruity and fresh smell with sour green apples and a light note of citrus. The taste isn’t as heavy as expected, musty malty with a fresh fruitiness.

tap at Stora öl - små bryggerier, Malmö dark cloudy amber, smooth beige head. beligan yeast, citrus, spices, dark malts in the aroma. aroma is sort of like a saison version of a dunkelweizen, overall a good sour aroma. flavor is sweet dark malty, belgian yeasty, spices, flowers.

On tap. Pours a cloudy, opaque brown with a small and creamy, beige head. Tart, spice, yeasty nose. Medium body, distinct and fairly exotic notes of the yeast, pebbery and again lightly tart. Ends fairly dry and moderately bitter. 200412

From tap. Pours hazy dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is vegetable and fruity. Sweet fruity and slight citric flavoured. Citric, fruity, light yeasty and dark malty. Lingering fruity finish.

On tap at Bryggerifestival at Malmö Brygghus, April 2012. Hazy brownish with a small head. Aroma and taste of roasted malt, bread, yeast and some chocolate. Drinkable but something was missing, maybe some more sourness?

Draught at Bryggerifestival at Malmö Brygghus. En brun saison med i princip alla saisonens kännetecken men avrundade och mjukare av den rostade maltens lätta koladrag. Syrlig, jästig, lätt metallisk och citrus. En riktigt lyckad crooss over även om saisonens krispighet lite gått förlorad.

Draught. Low fluffy and quickly disappearing head. Hazy dark brown body. Fruity acidic to sour smelling aroma. Mild acidic to sour fruity flavor with low carbonation and a short aftertaste.

I love saisons - the best ones are crisp, lively, hoppy, herbal, spicy, full of charachter. Perfect for the spring and summer consumption. But I don’t understand the concept of black saisons. And this one shows why. Basically a murky, malty, bready, quite bland brown ale spiced up only slightly by some herbal yeast notes that doesn’t really show that much muscle. Hints of licorice and a faint acidic note. Medium body, dry medium bitter finish. tasted at bryggerifestivalen på Malmø Brygghus.

Draught at Bryggerifestival at Malmö Brygghus. Hazy orange-red coloured with a small off-white head. Sweet and fruity aroma of caramel, spices, liquorice and yeast. Fruity flavour of liquorice and spices with notes of yeast. Hoppy finish.
