COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Aroma: Smelling sweet and spicy, ripe banana, Christmas cake batter.
Appearance: A brown murky clouded brew, a dark off-white fluffy head that leaves much lacing and good curtains.
Taste: Starting sweet spicy bread, then banana, cardamom, clove and bitter orange.
Palate: Medium carbonation, small bubbles, oily and sticky, a dense body, a short coarse dryness.
Overall: Very spicy, very heavy sweet. The hops do not really balance that. But there is a lot of action in this one.
Note: Bottle 330 ml. Reviewed 2012-08-14.

Got one from tap and was srprized to see the dark brown and clowdy liquid. Its quite carbonated and has a decent malty taste with a light hop finish. Came back the other day to have one more glass of it.

Vignale (1403) - Malmö, SWEDEN - APR 24, 2012
Draught at Bryggerifestival at Malmö Brygghus.

Mycket fruktig, syrlig och söt, välbalanserad och lite oljig i konsistensen.

Beer to be released at Systembolaget on the 2nd of May. It poured an almost pitch black and hazy liquid with a red tint. Fruity and fresh smell with sour green apples and a light note of citrus. The taste isn’t as heavy as expected, musty malty with a fresh fruitiness.

33 cl bottle, e-order from Systembolaget. BB 130117, sampled on June 23, 2012
Clear dark brown color, big lasting tan head. Spicy, phenolic, estery, fruity, a bit of smoke and metallic, some barnyard and lactic scent, as well as a hint of roasted malt. Nothing off about it, rather fresh and interesting. Quite subtle and intriguing, well balanced smell. Malty, some roasted notes, acdity at a reasonable level, grainy, some bitterness, fruity, fruit peels, raw grains, alcohol taste. Warming alcohol. Grainy aftertaste. Medium to smooth mouthfeel, medium bitterness that is to the slight bit harsh side, might be the alcohol bite on the tongue. Minerals and some yeast.
Perhaps nothing I’d sit with several bottles on a single night, but as per one bottle it’s nice and sippable, a well made beer, good balance. Perhaps for my personal taste the alcohol could be lower.

330ml Bottle - Dark brown with a haze, some red tinges and a foamy head. Smoky and malty aroma with notes of dried fruit, chocolate and roasted malt. Fruity, roasted and chocolatey taste with notes of roasted malt, marzipan and caramel. A good beer and an interesting twist on a saison.
