3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bomber from Spirits Lakewood. Poured a super dark chocolate brown almost black with an average sized deep beige head. Aroma/flavor is cardboard, newspaper, light chocolate, dark fruit skin and wet nuts. Body is medium with lighter to average carbonation lingering aftertaste. Meh...

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap. Felt like this drank more like a stout than a brown ale. Semi creamy texture. Slightly sweet flavor with a fairly pronounced roasted quality. Decent beer, but would not but again.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Purchased from Carriagetown earlier today. $8.00 for the 650 mL bottle. To red wine glass, it pours a mahogany-tinted reddish dark brown with which a trim beige ringed head 1 pinky nail in length stood. Aromas of autumnal leaves, chestnuts, flaked barley, biscuit malt, wet newspaper, bird feed, California yeast, pumpernickel, and American noble hops. Tastes the same with the addition of roasted bananas, minerals, and leather. I wish the nuttiness had been stronger, but overall this is a cunningly solid brown ale. Damn, New England has been killing it in the brown ale category in the last few years.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Location: 22 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 8/3/14
Aroma: The nose is burnt malts mostly, some coffee, nuts, and some burnt toast
Appearance: It pours a dark brown color with a thin beige head and sheeting steaks of lace
Flavor: The flavor is dry and roasty, unsweetened coffee, and some burnt toast flavors
Palate: The body is medium, clean and smooth, with a dry, burnt kind of finish on the mouth
This is a pretty solid beer. I didn’t mind the burnt toast flavor that comes through on the finish, but it sort of flushes everything from the early part of the palate out, which does take away from the overall performance of the beer.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Strong coffee nose, especially for an ABA. Cloudy brown, slippery medium tan head. Pecan and coffee flavor, more of the former. Cola also present, little hop presence. A bit of sugar cane sweetness.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a nice murky brown. Definitely smoky, but not offensively so. Not even a hint of the slightly higher ABV. Excellent.
