2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Hazy, light amber pour with a tall, chunky, off white head. Lots of floral and citrus in the aroma, a little banana and a decent amount of coriander. Taste starts off with tons of coriander and ascorbic acid, some dusty grain and citrus pop in, but mostly coriander and ascorbic acid. Light body, with a heavy, sharp and very blanketing carbonation. The high carbonation and the fact that it tastes like somebody crushed Vitamin C pills in it make this a little unpleasant to taste, but once you get past the weird tartness it isn’t that awefull.

Draft at Yard House. Pours orange gold with an off white head. Aroma is orange, lemon, wheat, pepper. Flavor reminds me of Picon Biere. Slightly bitter orange over mild wheat.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Slumbrew Happy Sol has a thin, fizzy, quickly-dissipating head, no lacing, a murky (especially so, after the bottom caked contents are loosened and poured in), orange appearance. The aroma is odd, but it (and, the flavor) does improve as the beer settles out. I picked up honey, aged dankness, red soil, bread crust, and possibly some juice. Taste is of sweetness, that odd oldness, honey, bread crust, malt, and low bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium, and Slumbrew Happy Sol finishes wet and juice like. Reminds me of a mimosa. RJT

Super orange aroma with some banana. Hazy amber body with a minimal head retention. Pronounced orange taste with a soft yeast background. Soft sourness with a citrus tang on the tongue. Leaves a tart coriander sourness on the tongue. Pleasant and sweet to experience.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sampled at Mass Brewers Fest ’14. Poured a hazy golden orange with bubbly white head. Wheat/clove aroma with the addition of orange peel. A lot of citrus in the flavor from the orange and lemon peel as well as the typical wheat and spice. Interesting mixture. Medium to light in body with a tartness on the tongue.

kinda like a beer with some tea like quality to it. the orange comes in real mellow and easy and is not noticeable at first and pretty much makes this beer. that and again it is kinda beery. interesting sweetness flowery and fruity yet tart with some light chalkiness.

Refrigerated brown bomber from Red, White, and Bleu, bottled on date September 18, 2012, poured into a weizen glass. Pours translucent orange with small dense white head. Aroma is light orange, medium body, medium carbonation, and big bubble lacing. Taste is orange, honey, some coriander, and some cardboard. Pretty good, would like to try this again when fresh. Should have checked the date before the purchase.

Bottle big thanks to my friend TY for bringing this by as a birthday gift! Pour has a rich golden color with a thick two finger off white head that just would not stop. Aroma has malts, light grains, and spice. Mouth feel is light and the carbonation medium low. Flavor has wheat, grains, light spice, and some orange pulp on the finish.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours out an appealing hazy orange with a slight pink tinge. Less of a head that you usually get with a wheat beer. The aroma is fairly bland with just little hints of spice. The flavor is much more interesting, yeasty banana, wheat tang, and some strong orange/fruit flavors. Smooth and with an Orangina-like aftertaste. Somewhat stronger of an alcohol profile than I’d desire in a hefeweizen. Overall a decent beer, I’d consider this a tastier alternative to a radler on a hot day.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Reviewed from notes. Consumed 05/06/13.
The appearance is a hazy golden orange body with a one finger white foamy head that quickly dies. Carbonation is still seen rising.
The smell has the esters/"banana" yeastiness up front, light coriander all balanced pretty well, light citrus as it continues to warm.
The taste is sweet yet light spiciness through all previously mentioned flavors. Light wheat bite at the end leading into the aftertaste, dry finish.
The palate is light, sessionable, and has a moderate carbonation seems to be right now for the style.
Overall, well at the moment, I’m not a true fan of weizens, but I think I found another winner for the style at least for me as I would have this again.
