Bomber bottle and served in no-nik pint glass: Pours a deep brown with a fading head and spotty lacing. The aroma has notes of soured milk (lactic acid), chocolate, walnuts, ashy smokey and bready malts. The beer is pretty much undrinkable, far too much acidity and not enough malty goodness. Methinks it is infected with some medicinal notes as well. Well Slumbrew is O for 2... not gonna get anymore of my monies. Dumped the 2nd half of the bottle.

22oz bottle in an English pint. Pours almost black with a lacy, light tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, a little smokiness, and some floral hops. Flavor has lots of chocolate on the finish. Smooth texture. A pretty good beer.

Bottle sent by TWStandley, thanks! Pours a nice dark near black with a couple fingers light tan head. Smell is decent amount of roasted malt, espresso, and some hints of chocolate. Taste is very roasty up front, and then sweeter hints in the back. Very drinkable. Overall a solid porter.

Bottle. Pours dark brown/black with tan head. Not a very strong aroma, notes if chocolate, coffee and ash. Flavor is just a bit more intense, notes of bakers cocoa, ash, cold black coffee, very dry with a light tartness/dark roasted bitter. Mouthfeel is medium body but kinda thin and watery at the same time. Overall, is ok.
